Mark 13

And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!

اُس دن جب عیسیٰ بیت المُقدّس سے نکل رہا تھا تو اُس کے شاگردوں نے کہا، ”اُستاد، دیکھیں کتنے شاندار پتھر اور عمارتیں ہیں!“

And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

عیسیٰ نے جواب دیا، ”کیا تم کو یہ بڑی بڑی عمارتیں نظر آتی ہیں؟ پتھر پر پتھر نہیں رہے گا۔ سب کچھ ڈھا دیا جائے گا۔“

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,

بعد میں عیسیٰ زیتون کے پہاڑ پر بیت المُقدّس کے مقابل بیٹھ گیا۔ پطرس، یعقوب، یوحنا اور اندریاس اکیلے اُس کے پاس آئے۔ اُنہوں نے کہا،

Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?

”ہمیں ذرا بتائیں، یہ کب ہو گا؟ کیا کیا نظر آئے گا جس سے معلوم ہو گا کہ یہ اب پورا ہونے کو ہے؟“

And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:

عیسیٰ نے جواب دیا، ”خبردار رہو کہ کوئی تمہیں گم راہ نہ کر دے۔

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

بہت سے لوگ میرا نام لے کر آئیں گے اور کہیں گے، ’مَیں ہی مسیح ہوں۔‘ یوں وہ بہتوں کو گم راہ کر دیں گے۔

And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

جب جنگوں کی خبریں اور افواہیں تم تک پہنچیں گی تو مت گھبرانا۔ کیونکہ لازم ہے کہ یہ سب کچھ پیش آئے۔ توبھی ابھی آخرت نہیں ہو گی۔

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

ایک قوم دوسری کے خلاف اُٹھ کھڑی ہو گی اور ایک بادشاہی دوسری کے خلاف۔ جگہ جگہ زلزلے آئیں گے، کال پڑیں گے۔ لیکن یہ صرف دردِ زہ کی ابتدا ہی ہو گی۔

But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.

تم خود خبردار رہو۔ تم کو مقامی عدالتوں کے حوالے کر دیا جائے گا اور لوگ یہودی عبادت خانوں میں تمہیں کوڑے لگوائیں گے۔ میری خاطر تمہیں حکمرانوں اور بادشاہوں کے سامنے پیش کیا جائے گا۔ یوں تم اُنہیں میری گواہی دو گے۔

And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

لازم ہے کہ آخرت سے پہلے اللہ کی خوش خبری تمام اقوام کو سنائی جائے۔

But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

لیکن جب لوگ تم کو گرفتار کر کے عدالت میں پیش کریں گے تو یہ سوچتے سوچتے پریشان نہ ہو جانا کہ مَیں کیا کہوں۔ بس وہی کچھ کہنا جو اللہ تمہیں اُس وقت بتائے گا۔ کیونکہ اُس وقت تم نہیں بلکہ روح القدس بولنے والا ہو گا۔

Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.

بھائی اپنے بھائی کو اور باپ اپنے بچے کو موت کے حوالے کر دے گا۔ بچے اپنے والدین کے خلاف کھڑے ہو کر اُنہیں قتل کروائیں گے۔

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

سب تم سے نفرت کریں گے، اِس لئے کہ تم میرے پیروکار ہو۔ لیکن جو آخر تک قائم رہے گا اُسے نجات ملے گی۔

But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judæa flee to the mountains:

ایک دن آئے گا جب تم وہاں جہاں اُسے نہیں ہونا چاہئے وہ کچھ کھڑا دیکھو گے جو بےحرمتی اور تباہی کا باعث ہے۔“ (قاری اِس پر دھیان دے!) ”اُس وقت یہودیہ کے رہنے والے بھاگ کر پہاڑی علاقے میں پناہ لیں۔

And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:

جو اپنے گھر کی چھت پر ہو وہ نہ اُترے، نہ کچھ ساتھ لے جانے کے لئے گھر میں داخل ہو جائے۔

And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.

جو کھیت میں ہو وہ اپنی چادر ساتھ لے جانے کے لئے واپس نہ جائے۔

But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

اُن خواتین پر افسوس جو اُن دنوں میں حاملہ ہوں یا اپنے بچوں کو دودھ پلاتی ہوں۔

And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.

دعا کرو کہ یہ واقعہ سردیوں کے موسم میں پیش نہ آئے۔

For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

کیونکہ اُن دنوں میں ایسی مصیبت ہو گی کہ دنیا کی تخلیق سے آج تک دیکھنے میں نہ آئی ہو گی۔ اِس قسم کی مصیبت بعد میں بھی کبھی نہیں آئے گی۔

And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

اور اگر خداوند اِس مصیبت کا دورانیہ مختصر نہ کرتا تو کوئی نہ بچتا۔ لیکن اُس نے اپنے چنے ہوؤں کی خاطر اُس کا دورانیہ مختصر کر دیا ہے۔

And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:

اُس وقت اگر کوئی تم کو بتائے، ’دیکھو، مسیح یہاں ہے،‘ یا ’وہ وہاں ہے‘ تو اُس کی بات نہ ماننا۔

For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

کیونکہ جھوٹے مسیح اور جھوٹے نبی اُٹھ کھڑے ہوں گے جو عجیب و غریب نشان اور معجزے دکھائیں گے تاکہ اللہ کے چنے ہوئے لوگوں کو غلط راستے پر ڈال دیں — اگر یہ ممکن ہوتا۔

But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

اِس لئے خبردار! مَیں نے تم کو پہلے ہی اِن سب باتوں سے آگاہ کر دیا ہے۔

But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

مصیبت کے اُن دنوں کے بعد سورج تاریک ہو جائے گا اور چاند کی روشنی ختم ہو جائے گی۔

And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

ستارے آسمان پر سے گر پڑیں گے اور آسمان کی قوتیں ہلائی جائیں گی۔

And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

اُس وقت لوگ ابنِ آدم کو بڑی قدرت اور جلال کے ساتھ بادلوں میں آتے ہوئے دیکھیں گے۔

And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

اور وہ اپنے فرشتوں کو بھیج دے گا تاکہ اُس کے چنے ہوؤں کو چاروں طرف سے جمع کریں، دنیا کے کونے کونے سے آسمان کی انتہا تک اکٹھا کریں۔

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:

انجیر کے درخت سے سبق سیکھو۔ جوں ہی اُس کی شاخیں نرم اور لچک دار ہو جاتی ہیں اور اُن سے کونپلیں پھوٹ نکلتی ہیں تو تم کو معلوم ہو جاتا ہے کہ گرمیوں کا موسم قریب آ گیا ہے۔

So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.

اِسی طرح جب تم یہ واقعات دیکھو گے تو جان لو گے کہ ابنِ آدم کی آمد قریب بلکہ دروازے پر ہے۔

Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

مَیں تم کو سچ بتاتا ہوں، اِس نسل کے ختم ہونے سے پہلے پہلے یہ سب کچھ واقع ہو گا۔

Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

آسمان و زمین تو جاتے رہیں گے، لیکن میری باتیں ہمیشہ تک قائم رہیں گی۔

But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

لیکن کسی کو بھی علم نہیں کہ یہ کس دن یا کون سی گھڑی رونما ہو گا۔ آسمان کے فرشتوں اور فرزند کو بھی علم نہیں بلکہ صرف باپ کو۔

Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

چنانچہ خبردار اور چوکنے رہو! کیونکہ تم کو نہیں معلوم کہ یہ وقت کب آئے گا۔

For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

ابنِ آدم کی آمد اُس آدمی سے مطابقت رکھتی ہے جسے کسی سفر پر جانا تھا۔ گھر چھوڑتے وقت اُس نے اپنے نوکروں کو انتظام چلانے کا اختیار دے کر ہر ایک کو اُس کی اپنی ذمہ داری سونپ دی۔ دربان کو اُس نے حکم دیا کہ وہ چوکس رہے۔

Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

تم بھی اِسی طرح چوکس رہو، کیونکہ تم نہیں جانتے کہ گھر کا مالک کب واپس آئے گا، شام کو، آدھی رات کو، مرغ کے بانگ دیتے یا پَو پھٹتے وقت۔

Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

ایسا نہ ہو کہ وہ اچانک آ کر تم کو سوتے پائے۔

And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

یہ بات مَیں نہ صرف تم کو بلکہ سب کو بتاتا ہوں، چوکس رہو!“
