Isaiah 62

For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

صیون کی خاطر مَیں خاموش نہیں رہوں گا، یروشلم کی خاطر تب تک آرام نہیں کروں گا جب تک اُس کی راستی طلوعِ صبح کی طرح نہ چمکے اور اُس کی نجات مشعل کی طرح نہ بھڑکے۔

And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

اقوام تیری راستی دیکھیں گی، تمام بادشاہ تیری شان و شوکت کا مشاہدہ کریں گے۔ اُس وقت تجھے نیا نام ملے گا، ایسا نام جو رب کا اپنا منہ متعین کرے گا۔

Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

تُو رب کے ہاتھ میں شاندار تاج اور اپنے خدا کے ہاتھ میں شاہی کُلاہ ہو گی۔

Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi–bah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.

آئندہ لوگ تجھے نہ کبھی ’متروکہ‘ نہ تیرے ملک کو ’ویران و سنسان‘ قرار دیں گے بلکہ تُو ’میرا لطف‘ اور تیرا ملک ’بیاہی‘ کہلائے گا۔ کیونکہ رب تجھ سے لطف اندوز ہو گا، اور تیرا ملک شادی شدہ ہو گا۔

For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.

جس طرح جوان آدمی کنواری سے شادی کرتا ہے اُسی طرح تیرے فرزند تجھے بیاہ لیں گے۔ اور جس طرح دُولھا دُلھن کے باعث خوشی مناتا ہے اُسی طرح تیرا خدا تیرے سبب سے خوشی منائے گا۔

I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,

اے یروشلم، مَیں نے تیری فصیل پر پہرے دار لگائے ہیں جو دن رات آواز دیں۔ اُنہیں ایک لمحے کے لئے بھی خاموش رہنے کی اجازت نہیں ہے۔ اے رب کو یاد دلانے والو، اُس وقت تک نہ خود آرام کرو،

And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

نہ رب کو آرام کرنے دو جب تک وہ یروشلم کو از سرِ نو قائم نہ کر لے۔ جب پوری دنیا شہر کی تعریف کرے گی تب ہی تم سکون کا سانس لے سکتے ہو۔

The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:

رب نے اپنے دائیں ہاتھ اور زورآور بازو کی قَسم کھا کر وعدہ کیا ہے، ”آئندہ نہ مَیں تیرا غلہ تیرے دشمنوں کو کھلاؤں گا، نہ بڑی محنت سے بنائی گئی تیری مَے کو اجنبیوں کو پلاؤں گا۔

But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.

کیونکہ آئندہ فصل کی کٹائی کرنے والے ہی رب کی ستائش کرتے ہوئے اُسے کھائیں گے، اور انگور چننے والے ہی میرے مقدِس کے صحنوں میں آ کر اُن کا رس پئیں گے۔“

Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.

داخل ہو جاؤ، شہر کے دروازوں میں داخل ہو جاؤ! قوم کے لئے راستہ تیار کرو! راستہ بناؤ، راستہ بناؤ! اُسے پتھروں سے صاف کرو! تمام اقوام کے اوپر جھنڈا گاڑ دو!

Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

کیونکہ رب نے دنیا کی انتہا تک اعلان کیا ہے، ”صیون بیٹی کو بتاؤ کہ دیکھ، تیری نجات آنے والی ہے۔ دیکھ، اُس کا اجر اُس کے پاس ہے، اُس کا انعام اُس کے آگے آگے چل رہا ہے۔“

And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

تب وہ ’مُقدّس قوم‘ اور ’وہ قوم جسے رب نے عوضانہ دے کر چھڑایا ہے‘ کہلائیں گے۔ اے یروشلم بیٹی، تُو ’مرغوب‘ اور ’غیرمتروکہ شہر‘ کہلائے گی۔
