Ezekiel 29

In the tenth year, in the tenth month, in the twelfth day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

یہویاکین بادشاہ کی جلاوطنی کے دسویں سال میں رب مجھ سے ہم کلام ہوا۔ دسویں مہینے کا 11واں دن تھا۔ رب نے فرمایا،

Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt:

”اے آدم زاد، مصر کے بادشاہ فرعون کی طرف رُخ کر کے اُس کے اور تمام مصر کے خلاف نبوّت کر!

Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.

اُسے بتا، ’رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ اے شاہِ مصر فرعون، مَیں تجھ سے نپٹنے کو ہوں۔ بےشک تُو ایک بڑا اژدہا ہے جو دریائے نیل کی مختلف شاخوں کے بیچ میں لیٹا ہوا کہتا ہے کہ یہ دریا میرا ہی ہے، مَیں نے خود اُسے بنایا۔

But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy rivers to stick unto thy scales, and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, and all the fish of thy rivers shall stick unto thy scales.

لیکن مَیں تیرے منہ میں کانٹے ڈال کر تجھے دریا سے نکال لاؤں گا۔ میرے کہنے پر تیری ندیوں کی تمام مچھلیاں تیرے چھلکوں کے ساتھ لگ کر تیرے ساتھ پکڑی جائیں گی۔

And I will leave thee thrown into the wilderness, thee and all the fish of thy rivers: thou shalt fall upon the open fields; thou shalt not be brought together, nor gathered: I have given thee for meat to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven.

مَیں تجھے اِن تمام مچھلیوں سمیت ریگستان میں پھینک چھوڑوں گا۔ تُو کھلے میدان میں گر کر پڑا رہے گا۔ نہ کوئی تجھے اکٹھا کرے گا، نہ جمع کرے گا بلکہ مَیں تجھے درندوں اور پرندوں کو کھلا دوں گا۔

And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.

تب مصر کے تمام باشندے جان لیں گے کہ مَیں ہی رب ہوں۔ تُو اسرائیل کے لئے سرکنڈے کی کچی چھڑی ثابت ہوا ہے۔

When they took hold of thee by thy hand, thou didst break, and rend all their shoulder: and when they leaned upon thee, thou brakest, and madest all their loins to be at a stand.

جب اُنہوں نے تجھے پکڑنے کی کوشش کی تو تُو نے ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہو کر اُن کے کندھے کو زخمی کر دیا۔ جب اُنہوں نے اپنا پورا وزن تجھ پر ڈالا تو تُو ٹوٹ گیا، اور اُن کی کمر ڈانواں ڈول ہو گئی۔

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and cut off man and beast out of thee.

اِس لئے رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ مَیں تیرے خلاف تلوار بھیجوں گا جو ملک میں سے انسان و حیوان مٹا ڈالے گی۔

And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste; and they shall know that I am the LORD: because he hath said, The river is mine, and I have made it.

ملکِ مصر ویران و سنسان ہو جائے گا۔ تب وہ جان لیں گے کہ مَیں ہی رب ہوں۔ چونکہ تُو نے دعویٰ کیا، ”دریائے نیل میرا ہی ہے، مَیں نے خود اُسے بنایا“

Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from the tower of Syene even unto the border of Ethiopia.

اِس لئے مَیں تجھ سے اور تیری ندیوں سے نپٹ لوں گا۔ مصر میں ہر طرف کھنڈرات نظر آئیں گے۔ شمال میں مجدال سے لے کر جنوبی شہر اسوان بلکہ ایتھوپیا کی سرحد تک مَیں مصر کو ویران و سنسان کر دوں گا۔

No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years.

نہ انسان اور نہ حیوان کا پاؤں اُس میں سے گزرے گا۔ چالیس سال تک اُس میں کوئی نہیں بسے گا۔

And I will make the land of Egypt desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be desolate forty years: and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.

ارد گرد کے دیگر تمام ممالک کی طرح مَیں مصر کو بھی اُجاڑوں گا، ارد گرد کے دیگر تمام شہروں کی طرح مَیں مصر کے شہر بھی ملبے کے ڈھیر بنا دوں گا۔ چالیس سال تک اُن کی یہی حالت رہے گی۔ ساتھ ساتھ مَیں مصریوں کو مختلف اقوام و ممالک میں منتشر کر دوں گا۔

Yet thus saith the Lord GOD; At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they were scattered:

لیکن رب قادرِ مطلق یہ بھی فرماتا ہے کہ چالیس سال کے بعد مَیں مصریوں کو اُن ممالک سے نکال کر جمع کروں گا جہاں مَیں نے اُنہیں منتشر کر دیا تھا۔

And I will bring again the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their habitation; and they shall be there a base kingdom.

مَیں مصر کو بحال کر کے اُنہیں وطن یعنی جنوبی مصر میں واپس لاؤں گا۔ وہاں وہ ایک غیراہم سلطنت قائم کریں گے

It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it exalt itself any more above the nations: for I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.

جو باقی ممالک کی نسبت چھوٹی ہو گی۔ آئندہ وہ دیگر قوموں پر اپنا رُعب نہیں ڈالیں گے۔ مَیں خود دھیان دوں گا کہ وہ آئندہ اِتنے کمزور رہیں کہ دیگر قوموں پر حکومت نہ کر سکیں۔

And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, which bringeth their iniquity to remembrance, when they shall look after them: but they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

آئندہ اسرائیل نہ مصر پر بھروسا کرنے اور نہ اُس سے لپٹ جانے کی آزمائش میں پڑے گا۔ تب وہ جان لیں گے کہ مَیں ہی رب قادرِ مطلق ہوں‘۔“

And it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first month, in the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

یہویاکین بادشاہ کی جلاوطنی کے 27ویں سال میں رب مجھ سے ہم کلام ہوا۔ پہلے مہینے کا پہلا دن تھا۔ اُس نے فرمایا،

Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyrus: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was peeled: yet had he no wages, nor his army, for Tyrus, for the service that he had served against it:

”اے آدم زاد، جب شاہِ بابل نبوکدنضر نے صور کا محاصرہ کیا تو اُس کی فوج کو سخت محنت کرنی پڑی۔ ہر سر گنجا ہوا، ہر کندھے کی جِلد چھل گئی۔ لیکن نہ اُسے اور نہ اُس کی فوج کو محنت کا مناسب اجر ملا۔

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army.

اِس لئے رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ مَیں شاہِ بابل نبوکدنضر کو مصر دے دوں گا۔ اُس کی دولت کو وہ اُٹھا کر لے جائے گا۔ اپنی فوج کو پیسے دینے کے لئے وہ مصر کو لُوٹ لے گا۔

I have given him the land of Egypt for his labour wherewith he served against it, because they wrought for me, saith the Lord GOD.

چونکہ نبوکدنضر اور اُس کی فوج نے میرے لئے خوب محنت مشقت کی اِس لئے مَیں نے اُسے معاوضے کے طور پر مصر دے دیا ہے۔ یہ رب قادرِ مطلق کا فرمان ہے۔

In that day will I cause the horn of the house of Israel to bud forth, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

جب یہ کچھ پیش آئے گا تو مَیں اسرائیل کو نئی طاقت دوں گا۔ اے حزقی ایل، اُس وقت مَیں تیرا منہ کھول دوں گا، اور تُو دوبارہ اُن کے درمیان بولے گا۔ تب وہ جان لیں گے کہ مَیں ہی رب ہوں۔“
