II Timothy 4

I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

مَیں اللہ اور مسیح عیسیٰ کے سامنے جو زندوں اور مُردوں کی عدالت کرے گا اور اُس کی آمد اور بادشاہی کی یاد دلا کر سنجیدگی سے اِس کی تاکید کرتا ہوں،

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

کہ وقت بےوقت کلامِ مُقدّس کی منادی کرنے کے لئے تیار رہیں۔ بڑے صبر سے ایمان داروں کو تعلیم دے کر اُنہیں سمجھائیں، ملامت کریں اور اُن کی حوصلہ افزائی بھی کریں۔

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

کیونکہ ایک وقت آئے گا جب لوگ صحت بخش تعلیم برداشت نہیں کریں گے بلکہ اپنے پاس اپنی بُری خواہشات سے مطابقت رکھنے والے اُستادوں کا ڈھیر لگا لیں گے۔ یہ اُستاد اُنہیں صرف دل بہلانے والی باتیں سنائیں گے، صرف وہ کچھ جو وہ سننا چاہتے ہیں۔

And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

وہ سچائی کو سننے سے باز آ کر فرضی کہانیوں کے پیچھے پڑ جائیں گے۔

But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

لیکن آپ خود ہر حالت میں ہوش میں رہیں۔ دُکھ کو برداشت کریں، اللہ کی خوش خبری سناتے رہیں اور اپنی خدمت کے تمام فرائض ادا کریں۔

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

جہاں تک میرا تعلق ہے، وہ وقت آ چکا ہے کہ مجھے مَے کی نذر کی طرح قربان گاہ پر اُنڈیلا جائے۔ میرے کوچ کا وقت آ گیا ہے۔

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

مَیں نے اچھی کُشتی لڑی ہے، مَیں دوڑ کے اختتام تک پہنچ گیا ہوں، مَیں نے ایمان کو محفوظ رکھا ہے۔

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

اور اب ایک انعام تیار پڑا ہے، راست بازی کا وہ تاج جو خداوند ہمارا راست منصف مجھے اپنی آمد کے دن دے گا۔ اور نہ صرف مجھے بلکہ اُن سب کو جو اُس کی آمد کے آرزومند رہے ہیں۔

Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:

میرے پاس آنے میں جلدی کریں۔

For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

کیونکہ دیماس نے اِس دنیا کو پیار کر کے مجھے چھوڑ دیا ہے۔ وہ تھسلُنیکے چلا گیا۔ کریسکینس گلتیہ اور طِطُس دلمتیہ چلے گئے ہیں۔

Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.

صرف لوقا میرے پاس ہے۔ مرقس کو اپنے ساتھ لے آنا، کیونکہ وہ خدمت کے لئے مفید ثابت ہو گا۔

And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus.

تُخِکُس کو مَیں نے اِفسس بھیج دیا ہے۔

The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments.

آتے وقت میرا وہ کوٹ اپنے ساتھ لے آئیں جو مَیں تروآس میں کرپس کے پاس چھوڑ آیا تھا۔ میری کتابیں بھی لے آئیں، خاص کر چرمی کاغذ والی۔

Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:

سکندر لوہار نے مجھے بہت نقصان پہنچایا ہے۔ خداوند اُسے اُس کے کام کا بدلہ دے گا۔

Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.

اُس سے محتاط رہیں کیونکہ اُس نے بڑی شدت سے ہماری باتوں کی مخالفت کی۔

At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.

جب مجھے پہلی دفعہ اپنے دفاع کے لئے عدالت میں پیش کیا گیا تو سب نے مجھے ترک کر دیا۔ اللہ اُن سے اِس بات کا حساب نہ لے بلکہ اِسے نظرانداز کر دے۔

Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

لیکن خداوند میرے ساتھ تھا۔ اُسی نے مجھے تقویت دی، کیونکہ اُس کی مرضی تھی کہ میرے وسیلے سے اُس کا پورا پیغام سنایا جائے اور تمام غیریہودی اُسے سنیں۔ یوں اللہ نے مجھے شیرببر کے منہ سے نکال کر بچا لیا۔

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

اور آگے بھی خداوند مجھے ہر شریر حملے سے بچائے گا اور اپنی آسمانی بادشاہی میں لا کر نجات دے گا۔ اُس کا جلال ازل سے ابد تک ہوتا رہے۔ آمین۔

پرسکلہ، اکوِلہ اور اُنیسفرس کے گھرانے کو ہمارا سلام کہنا۔

Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.

اراستس کُرِنتھس میں رہا، اور مجھے ترفمس کو میلیتس میں چھوڑنا پڑا، کیونکہ وہ بیمار تھا۔

Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.

جلدی کریں تاکہ سردیوں کے موسم سے پہلے یہاں پہنچیں۔ یوبولس، پُودینس، لینس، کلودیہ اور تمام بھائی آپ کو سلام کہتے ہیں۔

The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen. The second epistle unto Timotheus, ordained the first bishop of the church of the Ephesians, was written from Rome, when Paul was brought before Nero the second time.

خداوند آپ کی روح کے ساتھ ہو۔ اللہ کا فضل آپ کے ساتھ ہوتا رہے۔
