Psalms 64

Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

Для дириґетна хору. Псалом Давидів.

Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:

Вислухай, Боже, мій голос, як скаржуся я, від страху ворожого душу мою хорони!

Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:

Заховай мене від потаємного збору злочинців, від крику свавільців,

That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.

які нагострили свого язика, як меча, натягнули стрілу свою словом гірким,

They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?

щоб таємно стріляти в невинного, вони нагло стрілятимуть в нього, і не будуть боятись!...

They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.

У злій справі зміцняють себе, змовляються пастки таємно розставити, кажуть: Хто буде їх бачити?

But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.

Вони кривди ховають... Загинемо, як задум їхній сповниться, бо нутро чоловіка та серце глибоке!

So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.

Але вчинить Бог, що стріла на них стрілить, і нагло поранені будуть,

And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.

і вчинить, що їхній язик допадеться до них, і будуть хитати головою усі, хто спогляне на них!...

The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

і всі люди боятися будуть, і будуть розказувати про чин Бога, і діло Його зрозуміють! і праведний Господом буде радіти, і буде вдаватись до Нього, і будуть похвалені всі простосерді!
