Psalms 107

O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Δοξολογειτε τον Κυριον, διοτι ειναι αγαθος, διοτι το ελεος αυτου μενει εις τον αιωνα.

Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

Ας λεγωσιν ουτως οι λελυτρωμενοι του Κυριου, τους οποιους ελυτρωσεν εκ χειρος του εχθρου

And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.

και συνηγαγεν αυτους εκ των χωρων, απο ανατολης και δυσεως απο βορρα και απο νοτου.

They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.

Περιεπλανωντο εν τη ερημω, εν οδω ανυδρω ουδε ευρισκον πολιν δια κατοικησιν.

Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

Ησαν πεινωντες και διψωντες η ψυχη αυτων απεκαμνεν εν αυτοις.

Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.

Τοτε εβοησαν προς τον Κυριον εν τη θλιψει αυτων και ηλευθερωσεν αυτους απο των αναγκων αυτων.

And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

Και ωδηγησεν αυτους δι ευθειας οδου, δια να υπαγωσιν εις πολιν κατοικιας.

Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Ας υμνολογωσιν εις τον Κυριον τα ελεη αυτου και τα θαυμασια αυτου τα προς τους υιους των ανθρωπων

For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

Διοτι εχορτασε ψυχην διψωσαν, και ψυχην πεινωσαν ενεπλησεν απο αγαθων.

Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;

Τους καθημενους εν σκοτει και σκια θανατου, τους δεδεμενους εν θλιψει και εν σιδηρω

Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:

διοτι ηπειθησαν εις τα λογια του Θεου και την βουλην του Υψιστου κατεφρονησαν

Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.

δια τουτο εταπεινωσε την καρδιαν αυτων εν κοπω επεσον, και δεν υπηρχεν ο βοηθων.

Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.

Τοτε εβοησαν προς τον Κυριον εν τη θλιψει αυτων, και εσωσεν αυτους απο των αναγκων αυτων

He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.

εξηγαγεν αυτους εκ του σκοτους και εκ της σκιας του θανατου και τα δεσμα αυτων συνετριψεν.

Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Ας υμνολογωσιν εις τον Κυριον τα ελεη αυτου και τα θαυμασια αυτου τα προς τους υιους των ανθρωπων

For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.

διοτι συνετριψε πυλας χαλκινας και μοχλους σιδηρους κατεκοψεν.

Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

Οι αφρονες βασανιζονται δια τας παραβασεις αυτων και δια τας ανομιας αυτων.

Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.

Παν φαγητον βδελυττεται η ψυχη αυτων, και πλησιαζουσιν εως των πυλων του θανατου.

Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.

Τοτε βοωσι προς τον Κυριον εν τη θλιψει αυτων, και σωζει αυτους απο των αναγκων αυτων

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

αποστελλει τον λογον αυτου και ιατρευει αυτους και ελευθερονει απο της φθορας αυτων.

Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Ας υμνολογωσιν εις τον Κυριον τα ελεη αυτου, και τα θαυμασια αυτου τα προς τους υιους των ανθρωπων

And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.

και ας θυσιαζωσι θυσιας αινεσεως και ας κηρυττωσι τα εργα αυτου εν αγαλλιασει.

They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;

Οι καταβαινοντες εις την θαλασσαν με πλοια, καμνοντες εργασιας εν υδασι πολλοις,

These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.

αυτοι βλεπουσι τα εργα του Κυριου και τα θαυμασια αυτου τα γινομενα εις τα βαθη

For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.

Διοτι προσταζει, και εγειρεται ανεμος καταιγιδος, και υψονει τα κυματα αυτης.

They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.

Αναβαινουσιν εως των ουρανων και καταβαινουσιν εως των αβυσσων η ψυχη αυτων τηκεται υπο της συμφορας.

They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end.

Σειονται και κλονιζονται ως ο μεθυων, και πασα η σοφια αυτων χανεται.

Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.

Τοτε κραζουσι προς τον Κυριον εν τη θλιψει αυτων, και εξαγει αυτους απο των αναγκων αυτων.

He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

Κατασιγαζει την ανεμοζαλην, και σιωπωσι τα κυματα αυτης.

Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

Και ευφραινονται, διοτι ησυχασαν και οδηγει αυτους εις τον επιθυμητον λιμενα αυτων.

Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Ας υμνολογωσιν εις τον Κυριον τα ελεη αυτου και τα θαυμασια αυτου τα προς τους υιους των ανθρωπων

Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

και ας υψονωσιν αυτον εν τη συναξει του λαου, και εν τω συνεδριω των πρεσβυτερων ας αινωσιν αυτον.

He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;

Μεταβαλλει ποταμους εις ερημον και πηγας υδατων εις ξηρασιαν

A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

την καρποφορον γην εις αλμυραν, δια την κακιαν των κατοικουντων εν αυτη.

He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.

Μεταβαλλει την ερημον εις λιμνας υδατων και την ξηραν γην εις πηγας υδατων.

And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;

Και εκει κατοικιζει τους πεινωντας, και συγκροτουσι πολεις εις κατοικησιν

And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.

και σπειρουσιν αγρους και φυτευουσιν αμπελωνας, οιτινες καμνουσι καρπους γεννηματος.

He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.

Και ευλογει αυτους, και πληθυνονται σφοδρα, και δεν ολιγοστευει τα κτηνη αυτων.

Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.

Ολιγοστευουσιν ομως επειτα και ταπεινονονται, απο της στενοχωριας, της συμφορας και του πονου.

He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.

Επιχεει καταφρονησιν επι τους αρχοντας και καμνει αυτους να περιπλανωνται εν ερημω αβατω.

Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.

Τον δε πενητα υψονει απο της πτωχειας και καθιστα ως ποιμνια τας οικογενειας.

The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.

Οι ευθεις βλεπουσι και ευφραινονται πασα δε ανομια θελει εμφραξει το στομα αυτης.

Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.

Οστις ειναι σοφος ας παρατηρη ταυτα και θελουσιν εννοησει τα ελεη του Κυριου.
