Jeremiah 23

Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.

Ουαι εις τους ποιμενας τους φθειροντας και διασκορπιζοντας τα προβατα της βοσκης μου, λεγει Κυριος.

Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.

Δια τουτο ουτω λεγει Κυριος, ο Θεος του Ισραηλ, κατα των ποιμενων, οιτινες ποιμαινουσι τον λαον μου. Σεις διεσκορπισατε τα προβατα μου και απεδιωξατε αυτα και δεν επεσκεφθητε αυτα ιδου, εγω θελω επισκεφθη εφ υμας την κακιαν των εργων υμων, λεγει Κυριος.

And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

Και εγω θελω συναξει το υπολοιπον των προβατων μου εκ παντων των τοπων, οπου εδιωξα αυτα, και θελω επιστρεψει αυτα παλιν εις τας βοσκας αυτων, και θελουσι καρποφορησει και πληθυνθη

And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.

και θελω καταστησει ποιμενας επ αυτα και θελουσι ποιμαινει αυτα και δεν θελουσι φοβηθη πλεον ουδε τρομαξει ουδε εκλειψει, λεγει Κυριος.

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

Ιδου, ερχονται ημεραι, λεγει Κυριος, και θελω ανεγειρει εις τον Δαβιδ βλαστον δικαιον, και βασιλευς θελει βασιλευσει και ευημερησει και εκτελεσει κρισιν και δικαιοσυνην επι της γης.

In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Εν ταις ημεραις αυτου ο Ιουδας θελει σωθη και ο Ισραηλ θελει κατοικησει εν ασφαλεια και τουτο ειναι το ονομα αυτου, με το οποιον θελει ονομασθη, Ο Κυριος η δικαιοσυνη ημων.

Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

Δια τουτο, ιδου, ερχονται ημεραι, λεγει Κυριος, και δεν θελουσιν ειπει πλεον, Ζη ο Κυριος, οστις ανηγαγε τους υιους Ισραηλ εκ γης Αιγυπτου

But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.

αλλα, Ζη ο Κυριος, οστις ανηγαγε και οστις εφερε το σπερμα του οικου Ισραηλ εκ της γης του βορρα και εκ παντων των τοπων, οπου ειχα διωξει αυτους και θελουσι κατοικησει εν τη γη αυτων.

Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of the words of his holiness.

Ενεκεν των προφητων η καρδια μου συντριβεται εντος μου σαλευονται παντα τα οστα μου ειμαι ως ανθρωπος μεθυων και ως ανθρωπος συνεχομενος υπο οινου, εξ αιτιας του Κυριου και εξ αιτιας των λογων της αγιοτητος αυτου.

For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.

Διοτι η γη ειναι πληρης μοιχων διοτι εξ αιτιας του ορκου πενθει η γη εξηρανθησαν αι βοσκαι της ερημου και η οδος αυτων εγεινε πονηρα και η δυναμις αυτων αδικος.

For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD.

Διοτι και ο προφητης και ο ιερευς εμολυνθησαν ναι, εν τω οικω μου ευρηκα τας ασεβειας αυτων, λεγει Κυριος.

Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.

Δια τουτο η οδος αυτων θελει εισθαι εις αυτους ως ολισθημα εν τω σκοτει θελουσιν ωθηθη και πεσει εν αυτη διοτι θελω φερει κακον επ αυτους εν τω ενιαυτω της επισκεψεως αυτων, λεγει Κυριος.

And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.

Ειδον μεν αφροσυνην εν τοις προφηταις της Σαμαρειας. προεφητευσαν δια του Βααλ και επλανων τον λαον μου τον Ισραηλ.

I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

αλλ εν τοις προφηταις της Ιερουσαλημ ειδον φρικην μοιχευουσι και περιπατουσιν εν ψευδει και ενισχυουσι τας χειρας των κακουργων, ωστε ουδεις επιστρεφει απο της κακιας αυτου παντες ουτοι ειναι εις εμε ως Σοδομα και οι κατοικοι αυτης ως Γομορρα.

Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.

Δια τουτο ουτω λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων κατα των προφητων Ιδου, εγω θελω ψωμισει αυτους αψινθιον και θελω ποτισει αυτους υδωρ χολης διοτι εκ των προφητων της Ιερουσαλημ εξηλθεν ο μολυσμος εις απαντα τον τοπον.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.

Ουτω λεγει ο Κυριος των δυναμεων Μη ακουετε τους λογους των προφητων των προφητευοντων εις εσας ουτοι σας καμνουσι ματαιους λαλουσιν ορασεις απο της καρδιας αυτων, ουχι απο στοματος Κυριου.

They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

Λεγουσι παντοτε προς τους καταφρονουντας με, Ο Κυριος ειπεν, Ειρηνη θελει εισθαι εις εσας και λεγουσι προς παντα περιπατουντα κατα τας ορεξεις της καρδιας αυτου, Δεν θελει ελθει κακον εφ υμας

For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?

διοτι τις παρεσταθη εν τη βουλη του Κυριου και ειδε και ηκουσε τον λογον αυτου; τις επροσεξεν εις τον λογον αυτου και ηκουσεν;

Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.

Ιδου, ανεμοστροβιλος παρα Κυριου εξηλθε με ορμην, και ανεμοστροβιλος ορμητικος θελει εξορμησει επι την κεφαλην των ασεβων.

The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.

Ο θυμος του Κυριου δεν θελει αποστρεψει εωσου εκτελεση και εωσου καμη τους στοχασμους της καρδιας αυτου εν ταις εσχαταις ημεραις θελετε νοησει τουτο εντελως.

I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.

Δεν απεστειλα τους προφητας τουτους και αυτοι ετρεξαν δεν ελαλησα προς αυτους και αυτοι προεφητευσαν

But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.

αλλ εαν ηθελον παρασταθη εν τη βουλη μου, τοτε ηθελον καμει τον λαον μου να ακουση τους λογους μου, και ηθελον αποστρεψει αυτους απο της πονηρας οδου αυτων και απο της κακιας των εργων αυτων.

Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?

Θεος εγγυθεν ειμαι εγω, λεγει Κυριος, και ουχι Θεος μακροθεν;

Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.

Δυναται τις να κρυφθη εν κρυφιοις τοποις και εγω να μη ιδω αυτον; λεγει Κυριος. Δεν πληρω εγω τον ουρανον και την γην; λεγει Κυριος.

I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

Ηκουσα τι λεγουσιν οι προφηται, οι προφητευοντες εν τω ονοματι μου ψευδος, λεγοντες, Ειδον ενυπνιον, ειδον ενυπνιον.

How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;

Εως ποτε θελει εισθαι τουτο εν τη καρδια των προφητων των προφητευοντων ψευδος; ναι, προφητευουσι τας απατας της καρδιας αυτων

Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.

οιτινες στοχαζονται να καμωσι τον λαον μου να λησμονηση το ονομα μου, δια των ενυπνιων αυτων τα οποια διηγουνται εκαστος προς τον πλησιον αυτου, καθως ελησμονησαν οι πατερες αυτων το ονομα μου δια τον Βααλ.

The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD.

Ο προφητης εις τον οποιον ειναι ενυπνιον, ας διηγηθη το ενυπνιον και εκεινος, εις τον οποιον ειναι ο λογος μου, ας λαληση τον λογον μου εν αληθεια. Τι ειναι το αχυρον προς τον σιτον; λεγει Κυριος.

Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Δεν ειναι ο λογος μου ως πυρ; λεγει ο Κυριος και ως σφυρα κατασυντριβουσα τον βραχον;

Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.

Δια τουτο, ιδου, εγω ειμαι εναντιον των προφητων, λεγει Κυριος, οιτινες κλεπτουσι τους λογους μου, εκαστος απο του πλησιον αυτου.

Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.

Ιδου, εγω ειμαι εναντιον των προφητων, λεγει Κυριος, οιτινες κινουσι τας γλωσσας αυτων και λεγουσιν, Αυτος λεγει.

Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.

Ιδου, εγω ειμαι εναντιον των προφητευοντων ενυπνια ψευδη, λεγει Κυριος, οιτινες διηγουνται αυτα και πλανωσι τον λαον μου με τα ψευδη αυτων και με την αφροσυνην αυτων ενω εγω δεν απεστειλα αυτους ουδε προσεταξα αυτους δια τουτο ουδολως θελουσιν ωφελησει τον λαον τουτον, λεγει Κυριος.

And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD.

Και εαν ο λαος ουτος η ο προφητης η ο ιερευς σε ερωτησωσι, λεγοντες, Τι ειναι το φορτιον του Κυριου; τοτε θελεις ειπει προς αυτους, Τι το φορτιον; θελω βεβαιως σας εγκαταλειψει, λεγει Κυριος.

And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.

Τον δε προφητην και τον ιερεα και τον λαον, οστις ειπη, Το φορτιον του Κυριου, εγω βεβαιως θελω παιδευσει τον ανθρωπον εκεινον και τον οικον αυτου.

Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD answered? and, What hath the LORD spoken?

Ουτω θελετε ειπει, εκαστος προς τον πλησιον αυτου και εκαστος προς τον αδελφον αυτου Τι απεκριθη ο Κυριος; και, Τι ελαλησεν ο Κυριος;

And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God.

Και φορτιον Κυριου δεν θελετε αναφερει πλεον επειδη το φορτιον θελει εισθαι εις εκαστον ο λογος αυτου διοτι διεστρεψατε τους λογους του Θεου του ζωντος, του Κυριου των δυναμεων, του Θεου ημων.

Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath the LORD answered thee? and, What hath the LORD spoken?

Ουτω θελεις ειπει προς τον προφητην Τι σοι απεκριθη ο Κυριος; και, Τι ελαλησεν ο Κυριος;

But since ye say, The burden of the LORD; therefore thus saith the LORD; Because ye say this word, The burden of the LORD, and I have sent unto you, saying, Ye shall not say, The burden of the LORD;

Αλλ επειδη λεγετε, Το φορτιον του Κυριου, δια τουτο ουτω λεγει Κυριος Επειδη λεγετε τον λογον τουτον, Το φορτιον του Κυριου, εγω δε απεστειλα προς εσας, λεγων, δεν θελετε λεγει, Το φορτιον του Κυριου

Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence:

δια τουτο, Ιδου, εγω θελω σας λησμονησει παντελως και θελω απορριψει υμας και την πολιν την οποιαν εδωκα εις υμας και εις τους πατερας υμων, απο προσωπου μου

And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.

και θελω φερει εφ υμας ονειδος αιωνιον, και καταισχυνην αιωνιον, ητις δεν θελει λησμονηθη.
