I Kings 4

So king Solomon was king over all Israel.

Ο δε βασιλευς Σολομων εβασιλευεν επι παντα τον Ισραηλ.

And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,

Και ουτοι ησαν οι αρχοντες, τους οποιους ειχεν Αζαριας, ο υιος του Σαδωκ, αυλαρχης

Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.

Ελιορεφ και Αχια, οι υιοι του Σεισα, γραμματεις Ιωσαφατ, ο υιος του Αχιουδ, υπομνηματογραφος

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:

και Βεναιας, ο υιος του Ιωδαε, επι του στρατευματος και Σαδωκ και Αβιαθαρ, ιερεις

And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king's friend:

και Αζαριας, ο υιος του Ναθαν, επι τους σιταρχας και Ζαβουδ, υιος του Ναθαν, πρωτος αξιωματικος, φιλος του βασιλεως

And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.

και Αχισαρ, οικονομος και Αδωνιραμ, ο υιος του Αβδα, επι των φορων.

And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.

ειχε δε ο Σολομων δωδεκα σιταρχας επι παντα τον Ισραηλ, και προεβλεπον τας τροφας εις τον βασιλεα και εις τον οικον αυτου ενος μηνος προβλεψιν εκαμνεν εκαστος τον χρονον.

And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:

Και ταυτα ειναι τα ονοματα αυτων ο υιος του Ουρ σιταρχης εν τω ορει Εφραιμ

The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth–shemesh, and Elon–beth–hanan:

ο υιος του Δεκερ, εν Μακας και εν Σααλβιμ και Βαιθ−σεμες και Αιλων της Βαιθ−αναν

The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:

ο υιος του Εσεδ, εν Αρουβωθ υπο τουτον ητο Σωχω και πασα γη Εφερ

The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

ο υιος του Αβινααβ, εν παση τη Ναφαθ−δωρ ουτος ειχε γυναικα Ταφαθ, την θυγατερα του Σολομωντος

Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth–shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth–shean to Abel–meholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:

Βαανα, ο υιος του Αχιλουδ, εν Θααναχ και Μεγιδδω και παση τη αιθ−σαν, ητις ειναι πλησιον της Σαρθανα υπο την Ιεζραελ, απο Βαιθ−σαν εως Αβελ−μεολα, εως επεκεινα Ιοκμεαμ

The son of Geber, in Ramoth–gilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:

ο υιος του Γεβερ, εν Ραμωθ−γαλααδ ουτος ειχε τας κωμας του Ιαειρ, υιου Μανασση, τας εν Γαλααδ ουτος ειχε και την επαρχιαν Αργοβ, την εν Βασαν, εξηκοντα πολεις μεγαλας με τειχη και χαλκινους μοχλους

Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:

Αχιναδαβ, ο υιος του Ιδδω, εν Μαχαναιμ

Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

Αχιμαας, εν Νεφθαλι και ουτος ελαβε δια γυναικα Βασεμαθ, την θυγατερα του Σολομωντος

Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:

Βαανα, ο υιος του Χουσαι, εν Ασιηρ και εν Αλωθ

Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:

Ιωσαφατ, ο υιος του Φαρουα, εν Ισσαχαρ

Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:

Σιμει, ο υιος του Ηλα, εν Βενιαμιν

Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.

Γεβερ, ο υιος του Ουρει, εν γη Γαλααδ, τη γη του Σηων βασιλεως των Αμορραιων και του Ωγ βασιλεως της Βασαν και ητο ο μονος σιταρχης εν ταυτη τη γη.

Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.

Ο Ιουδας και ο Ισραηλ ησαν πολυαριθμοι ως η αμμος η παρα την θαλασσαν κατα το πληθος, τρωγοντες και πινοντες και ευθυμουντες.

And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

Και εξουσιαζεν ο Σολομων επι παντα τα βασιλεια, απο του ποταμου εως της γης των Φιλισταιων, και εως των οριων της Αιγυπτου και εφερον δωρα και ησαν δουλοι εις τον Σολομωντα καθ ολας τας ημερας της ζωης αυτου.

And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,

Η δε τροφη του Σολομωντος δια μιαν ημεραν ητο τριακοντα κοροι σεμιδαλεως και εξηκοντα κοροι αλευρου,

Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.

δεκα βοες σιτευτοι και εικοσι βοες νομαδικοι και εκατον προβατα, εκτος ελαφων και αγριων αιγων και δορκαδων και πτηνων θρεπτων.

For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

Διοτι εξουσιαζεν επι πασαν την γην εντευθεν του ποταμου, απο Θαψα εως Γαζης, επι παντας τους βασιλεις εντευθεν του ποταμου και ειχεν ειρηνην πανταχοθεν κυκλω αυτου.

And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer–sheba, all the days of Solomon.

Κατωκει δε ο Ιουδας και ο Ισραηλ εν ασφαλεια, εκαστος υπο την αμπελον αυτου και υπο την συκην αυτου, απο Δαν εως Βηρ−σαβεε, πασας τας ημερας του Σολομωντος.

And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

Και ειχεν ο Σολομων τεσσαρακοντα χιλιαδας σταυλους ιππων δια τας αμαξας αυτου και δωδεκα χιλιαδας ιππεις.

And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.

Και οι σιταρχαι εκεινοι προεμηθευον τροφας δια τον βασιλεα Σολομωντα και δια παντας τους προσερχομενους εις την τραπεζαν του βασιλεως Σολομωντος, εκαστος εις τον μηνα αυτου δεν αφινον να γινηται ουδεμια ελλειψις.

Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.

Εφερον ετι κριθας και αχυρον δια τους ιππους και τας ημιονους, εις τον τοπον οπου ησαν, εκαστος κατα το διωρισμενον εις αυτον.

And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

Και εδωκεν ο Θεος εις τον Σολομωντα σοφιαν και φρονησιν πολλην σφοδρα και εκτασιν πνευματος, ως η αμμος η παρα το χειλος της θαλασσης.

And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

Και υπερεβη η σοφια του Σολομωντος την σοφιαν παντων των κατοικων της ανατολης και πασαν την σοφιαν της Αιγυπτου

For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.

διοτι ητο σοφωτερος παρα παντας τους ανθρωπους, παρα τον Εθαν τον Εζραιτην και τον Αιμαν και τον Χαλκολ και τον Δαρδα, τους υιους του Μαωλ και η φημη αυτου ητο εις παντα τα εθνη κυκλω.

And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

Και ελαλησε τρισχιλιας παροιμιας και αι ωδαι αυτου ησαν χιλιαι και πεντε.

And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

Και ελαλησε περι δενδρων, απο της κεδρου της εν τω Λιβανω, μεχρι της υσσωπου της εκφυομενης επι του τοιχου ελαλησεν ετι περι τετραποδων και περι πτηνων και περι ερπετων και περι ιχθυων.

And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.

Και ηρχοντο εκ παντων των λαων δια να ακουσωσι την σοφιαν του Σολομωντος, παρα παντων των βασιλεων της γης, οσοι ηκουον την σοφιαν αυτου.
