I Chronicles 22

Then David said, This is the house of the LORD God, and this is the altar of the burnt offering for Israel.

Τοτε ειπεν ο Δαβιδ, Ουτος ειναι ο οικος Κυριου του Θεου, και τουτο το θυσιαστηριον της ολοκαυτωσεως εις τον Ισραηλ.

And David commanded to gather together the strangers that were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to hew wrought stones to build the house of God.

Και προσεταξεν ο Δαβιδ να συναξωσι τους ξενους τους εν γη Ισραηλ και κατεστησε λιθοτομους δια να λατομησωσι λιθους ξυστους, προς οικοδομησιν του οικου του Θεου.

And David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the joinings; and brass in abundance without weight;

Ο Δαβιδ ητοιμασε και σιδηρον πολυν, δια καρφια των θυρωματων των πυλων και δια τας συναρθρωσεις και χαλκον αφθονον αζυγιστον

Also cedar trees in abundance: for the Zidonians and they of Tyre brought much cedar wood to David.

και ξυλα κεδρινα αναριθμητα διοτι οι Σιδωνιοι και οι Τυριοι εφερον προς τον Δαβιδ αφθονα κεδρινα ξυλα.

And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for the LORD must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.

Και ειπεν ο Δαβιδ, Σολομων ο υιος μου ειναι νεος και απαλος ο δε οικος οστις μελλει να οικοδομηθη εις τον Κυριον πρεπει να ηναι εις ακρον μεγαλοπρεπης, ονομαστος και ενδοξος καθ ολην την οικουμενην θελω λοιπον καμει ετοιμασιαν δι αυτον. Και εκαμεν ο Δαβιδ αφθονον ετοιμασιαν προ του θανατου αυτου.

Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build an house for the LORD God of Israel.

Τοτε εκαλεσε Σολομωντα τον υιον αυτου και προσεταξεν εις αυτον να οικοδομηση οικον εις Κυριον τον Θεον του Ισραηλ.

And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God:

Και ειπεν ο Δαβιδ προς τον Σολομωντα, Υιε μου, εγω μεν επεθυμησα εν τη καρδια μου να οικοδομησω οικον εις το ονομα Κυριου του Θεου μου

But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight.

πλην εγεινε λογος Κυριου προς εμε, λεγων, Αιμα πολυ εχυσας και πολεμους μεγαλους εκαμες δεν θελεις οικοδομησει οικον εις το ονομα μου, διοτι αιματα πολλα εχυσας επι της γης ενωπιον μου

Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.

ιδου, θελει γεννηθη εις σε υιος, οστις θελει εισθαι ανηρ αναπαυσεως και θελω αναπαυσει αυτον απο παντων των εχθρων αυτου κυκλω διοτι Σολομων θελει εισθαι το ονομα αυτου, και εν ταις ημεραις αυτου θελω δωσει ειρηνην και ησυχιαν εις τον Ισραηλ

He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.

ουτος θελει οικοδομησει οικον εις το ονομα μου και ουτος θελει εισθαι εις εμε υιος, και εγω πατηρ εις αυτον και θελω στερεωσει τον θρονον της βασιλειας αυτου επι τον Ισραηλ εως αιωνος.

Now, my son, the LORD be with thee; and prosper thou, and build the house of the LORD thy God, as he hath said of thee.

Τωρα, υιε μου, ο Κυριος εστω μετα σου και ευοδου και οικοδομησον τον οικον Κυριου του Θεου σου, καθως ελαλησε περι σου.

Only the LORD give thee wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of the LORD thy God.

Μονον ο Κυριος να σοι δωση σοφιαν και συνεσιν και να σε καταστηση επι τον Ισραηλ, δια να φυλαττης τον νομον Κυριου του Θεου σου.

Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which the LORD charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.

Τοτε θελεις ευοδωθη, εαν προσεχης να εκπληροις τα διαταγματα και τας κρισεις, τας οποιας ο Κυριος προσεταξεν εις τον Μωυσην περι του Ισραηλ ενδυναμου και ανδριζου μη φοβου και μη πτοηθης.

Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the LORD an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto.

Και ιδου, εγω κατα την πτωχειαν μου ητοιμασα δια τον οικον του Κυριου εκατον χιλιαδας ταλαντων χρυσιου και χιλιας χιλιαδας ταλαντων αργυριου χαλκον δε και σιδηρον αζυγιστον, διοτι ειναι αφθονος ητοιμασα δε και ξυλα και λιθους και συ προσθες εις ταυτα.

Moreover there are workmen with thee in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of cunning men for every manner of work.

Εχεις δε εργατας εις πληθος, λιθοτομους και κτιστας και ξυλουργους, και παντος ειδους σοφους εις παν εργον.

Of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise therefore, and be doing, and the LORD be with thee.

Του χρυσου, του αργυρου και του χαλκου και του σιδηρου αριθμος δεν ειναι. Σηκωθητι και καμνε και ο Κυριος εστω μετα σου.

David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,

Ο Δαβιδ προσεταξεν ετι εις παντας τους αρχοντας του Ισραηλ να βοηθησωσι τον Σολομωντα τον υιον αυτου, λεγων,

Is not the LORD your God with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side? for he hath given the inhabitants of the land into mine hand; and the land is subdued before the LORD, and before his people.

Δεν ειναι με σας Κυριος ο Θεος σας και εδωκεν εις εσας αναπαυσιν πανταχοθεν; διοτι παρεδωκεν εις την χειρα μου τους κατοικουντας την γην και η γη υπεταχθη εμπροσθεν του Κυριου και εμπροσθεν του λαου αυτου.

Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of the LORD.

Δοτε λοιπον την καρδιαν σας και την ψυχην σας εις το να ζητητε Κυριον τον Θεον σας και σηκωθητε και οικοδομησατε το αγιαστηριον Κυριου του Θεου, δια να φερητε την κιβωτον της διαθηκης του Κυριου και τα αγια σκευη του Θεου εις τον οικον, οστις μελλει να οικοδομηθη επι τω ονοματι του Κυριου.
