Psalms 127

Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

Cántico gradual: para Salomón. SI JEHOVÁ no edificare la casa, En vano trabajan los que la edifican: Si JEHOVÁ no guardare la ciudad, En vano vela la guarda.

It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

Por demás os es el madrugar á levantaros, el veniros tarde á reposar, El comer pan de dolores: Pues que á su amado dará Dios el sueño.

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

He aquí, heredad de JEHOVÁ son los hijos: Cosa de estima el fruto del vientre.

As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

Como saetas en mano del valiente, Así son los hijos habidos en la juventud.

Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

Bienaventurado el hombre que hinchió su aljaba de ellos: No será avergonzado Cuando hablare con los enemigos en la puerta.
