Psalms 112

Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

Lăudaţi pe Domnul! Ferice de omul care se teme de Domnul, şi care are o mare plăcere pentru poruncile Lui!

His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

Sămînţa lui va fi puternică pe pămînt; neamul oamenilor fără prihană va fi binecuvîntat.

Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

El are în casă bogăţie şi belşug, şi neprihănirea lui dăinuieşte în veci.

Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

Celui fără prihană îi răsare o lumină în întunerec, El este milostiv, îndurător şi drept.

A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

Ce bine -i merge omului care face milă şi împrumută pe altul, şi care îşi rînduieşte faptele după dreptate!

Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

Căci el nu se clatină niciodată; pomenirea celui neprihănit ţine în veci.

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

El nu se teme de veşti rele, ci inima lui este tare, încrezătoare în Domnul.

His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

Inima îi este mîngîiată, n'are nicio teamă, pînă ce îşi vede împlinită dorinţa faţă de protivnicii lui.

He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.

El este darnic, dă celor lipsiţi; milostenia lui ţine în veci; capul i se înalţă cu slavă.

The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

Cel rău vede lucrul acesta, şi se mînie, scrîşneşte din dinţi şi se topeşte. Poftele celor răi rămîn neîmplinite.
