Matthew 12

At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.

W on czas szedł Jezus w sabat przez zboża, a uczniowie jego łaknęli, i poczęli rwać kłosy i jeść.

But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.

A ujrzawszy to Faryzeuszowie, rzekli mu: Oto uczniowie twoi czynią, czego się nie godzi czynić w sabat.

But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;

A on im rzekł: Izaście nie czytali, co uczynił Dawid, gdy łaknął, on i ci, którzy z nim byli?

How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?

Jako wszedł do domu Bożego, i chleby pokładne jadł, których mu się nie godziło jeść, ani tym, którzy z nim byli, tylko samym kapłanom.

Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?

Alboście nie czytali w zakonie, że w sabat i kapłani w kościele sabat gwałcą, a bez winy są?

But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

Ale mówię wam, iż tu większy jest niż kościół.

But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

A gdybyście wiedzieli, co to jest: Miłosierdzia chcę, a nie ofiary, nie potępialibyście niewinnych;

For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

Albowiem Syn człowieczy Panem jest i sabatu.

And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:

A odszedłszy stamtąd przyszedł do bóżnicy ich;

And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.

A oto był tam człowiek mający rękę uschłą; i pytali go, mówiąc: Godzili się w sabat uzdrawiać? aby go oskarżyli.

And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?

A on im rzekł: Któryż człowiek z was będzie, który by miał owcę jedną, a gdyby mu ta w sabat w dół wpadła, izali jej nie dobędzie i nie wyciągnie?

How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

A czemże zacniejszy jest człowiek niżeli owca? Przetoż godzi się w sabat dobrze czynić.

Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.

Tedy rzekł człowiekowi onemu: Wyciągnij rękę twoję; a on wyciągnął, i przywrócona jest do zdrowia jako i druga.

Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.

A wyszedłszy Faryzeuszowie, uczynili radę przeciwko niemu, jakoby go stracili.

But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;

Ale Jezus poznawszy to, odszedł stamtąd, i szedł za nim lud wielki; i uzdrowił one wszystkie,

And charged them that they should not make him known:

I przygroził im, aby go nie objawiali,

That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

Żeby się wypełniło, co powiedziano przez Izajasza proroka, mówiącego:

Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.

Oto ten sługa mój, któregom obrał, ten umiłowany mój, w którym się upodobało duszy mojej; położę ducha mojego na nim, a sąd narodom opowie;

He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.

Nie będzie się wadził, ani będzie wołał, i nikt na ulicach nie usłyszy głosu jego;

A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

Trzciny nałamanej nie dołamie, a lnu kurzącego się nie zagasi, aż wystawi sąd ku zwycięstwu;

And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

A w imieniu jego narodowie będą nadzieję mieli.

Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.

Tedy przywiedziono do niego opętanego, ślepego i niemego, i uzdrowił go, tak iż on ślepy i niemy i mówił i widział.

And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?

I zdumiał się wszystek lud, i mówili: Nie tenże jest on syn Dawidowy?

But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

Ale Faryzeuszowie usłyszawszy to, rzekli: Ten nie wygania dyjabłów, tylko przez Beelzebuba, książęcia dyjabelskiego.

And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

Lecz Jezus widząc myśli ich, rzekł im: Każde królestwo rozdzielone samo przeciwko sobie pustoszeje, i każde miasto albo dom, sam przeciwko sobie rozdzielony, nie ostoi się.

And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

A jeźliż szatan szatana wygania, sam przeciwko sobie rozdzielony jest; jakoż się tedy ostoi królestwo jego?

And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.

A jeźliż ja przez Beelzebuba wyganiam dyjabły, synowie wasi przez kogoż wyganiają? Przetoż oni sędziami waszymi będą;

But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

A jeźliż ja duchem Bożym wyganiam dyjabły, tedyż do was przyszło królestwo Boże.

Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

Albo jakoż może kto wnijść do domu mocarza, i sprzęt jego rozchwycić, jeźliby pierwej nie związał mocarza onego? toż dopiero dom jego rozchwyci.

He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

Kto nie jest ze mną, przeciwko mnie jest, a kto nie zbiera ze mną, rozprasza.

Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Dlatego powiadam wam: Wszelki grzech i bluźnierstwo ludziom odpuszczone będzie; ale bluźnierstwo przeciwko Duchowi Świętemu nie będzie odpuszczone ludziom.

And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

I ktobykolwiek rzekł słowo przeciwko Synowi człowieczemu, będzie mu odpuszczono; ale kto by mówił przeciwko Duchowi Świętemu, nie będzie mu odpuszczono, ani w tym wieku ani w przyszłym.

Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

Czyńcież albo drzewo dobre, i owoc jego dobry; albo czyńcie drzewo złe, i owoc jego zły; albowiem z owocu drzewo poznane bywa.

O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

Rodzaju jaszczurczy! jakoż możecie mówić dobre rzeczy, będąc złymi, gdyż z obfitości serca usta mówią?

A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

Dobry człowiek z dobrego skarbu serca wynosi rzeczy dobre, a zły człowiek ze złego skarbu wynosi rzeczy złe.

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Ale powiadam wam, iż z każdego słowa próżnego, które by mówili ludzie, dadzą z niego liczbę w dzień sądny;

For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Albowiem z mów twoich będziesz usprawiedliwiony, i z mów twoich będziesz osądzony.

Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.

Tedy odpowiedzieli niektórzy z nauczonych w Piśmie i Faryzeuszów, mówiąc: Nauczycielu, chcemy od ciebie znamię widzieć.

But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

A on odpowiadając rzekł im: Rodzaj zły i cudzołożny znamienia szuka; ale mu nie będzie znamię dane, tylko ono znamię Jonasza proroka.

For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Albowiem jako Jonasz był w brzuchu wieloryba trzy dni i trzy noce, tak będzie Syn człowieczy w sercu ziemi trzy dni i trzy noce.

The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

Mężowie Niniwiccy staną na sądzie z tym rodzajem, i potępią go, przeto że pokutowali na kazanie Jonaszowe; a oto tu więcej niżeli Jonasz.

The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

Królowa z południa stanie na sądzie z tym rodzajem, i potępi go; iż przyszła od krajów ziemi, aby słuchała mądrości Salomonowej; a oto tu więcej niżeli Salomon.

When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

A gdy nieczysty duch od człowieka wychodzi, przechadza się po miejscach suchych, szukając odpocznienia, ale nie znajduje.

Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

Tedy mówi: Wrócę się do domu mego, skądem wyszedł; a przyszedłszy znajduje go próżny i umieciony i ochędożony.

Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

Tedy idzie, i bierze z sobą siedm inszych duchów gorszych, niżeli sam: a wszedłszy mieszkają tam, i bywają ostatnie rzeczy człowieka onego gorsze, niżeli pierwsze. Tak się stanie i temu rodzajowi złemu.

While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.

A gdy on jeszcze mówił do ludu, oto matka i bracia jego stali przed domem chcąc z nim mówić.

Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.

I rzekł mu niektóry: Oto matka twoja i bracia twoi stoją przed domem, chcąc z tobą mówić.

But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?

A on odpowiadając, rzekł temu, co mu to powiedział: Któraż jest matka moja? i którzy są bracia moi?

And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

A wyciągnąwszy rękę swoję na uczniów swoich, rzekł: Oto matka moja i bracia moi!

For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Albowiem ktobykolwiek czynił wolę Ojca mojego, który jest w niebiesiech, ten jest bratem moim, i siostrą i matką.
