I Corinthians 4

Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.

Tak niechaj o nas człowiek rozumie, jako o sługach Chrystusowych i o szafarzach tajemnic Bożych.

Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

A tegoć więc szukają przy szafarzach, aby każdy znaleziony był wiernym.

But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.

Aleć u mnie to jest najmniejsza, żebym był od was sądzony, albo od sądu ludzkiego; lecz i sam siebie nie sądzę.

For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.

Albowiem choć nic na się nie wiem, wszakże nie przeto jestem usprawiedliwiony; ale ten, który mnie sądzi, Pan jest.

Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

A tak nie sądźcie przed czasem, ażby Pan przyszedł, który też oświeci, co skrytego jest w ciemności i objawi rady serc; a tedy każdy będzie miał chwałę od Boga.

And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.

A te rzeczy, bracia! w podobieństwie obróciłem na się i na Apollosa dla was, abyście się nauczyli z nas nad to, co napisane, nie rozumieć, iżbyście się jeden dla drugiego nie nadymali przeciwko drugiemu.

For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?

Albowiem któż cię różnym czyni? I cóż masz, czego byś nie wziął? A jeźliżeś wziął, przeczże się chlubisz, jakobyś nie wziął?

Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and I would to God ye did reign, that we also might reign with you.

Jużeście nasyceni, jużeście ubogaceni, bez nas królujecie; a bodajeście królowali, abyśmy i my z wami pospołu królowali!

For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.

Bo mam za to, iż Bóg nas ostatnich Apostołów wystawił jakoby na śmierć skazanych; albowiem staliśmy się dziwowiskiem światu, Aniołom i ludziom.

We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.

Myśmy głupi dla Chrystusa, aleście wy roztropni w Chrystusie; myśmy słabi, aleście wy mocni; wyście zacni, aleśmy my bezecni.

Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;

Jeszcze aż do tej godziny i łakniemy, i pragniemy, i nadzy jesteśmy, i bywamy policzkowani, i tułamy się,

And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:

I pracujemy, robiąc własnemi rękami; gdy nas hańbią, dobrorzeczemy, gdy nas prześladują, znosimy;

Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.

Gdy nam złorzeczą, modlimy się za nich: staliśmy się jako śmieci tego świata i jako omieciny u wszystkich, aż dotąd.

I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.

To piszę, nie przeto, abym was zawstydził; ale jako dziatki moje miłe napominam.

For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

Bo choćbyście mieli dziesięć tysięcy pedagogów w Chrystusie, wszakże niewiele ojców macie; bom ja was w Jezusie Chrystusie przez Ewangieliję spłodził.

Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.

Proszę was tedy, bądźcie naśladowcami moimi.

For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.

Dlategom posłał do was Tymoteusza, który jest syn mój miły i wierny w Panu; ten wam przypomni drogi moje w Chrystusie, jako wszędy w każdym zborze nauczam.

Now some are puffed up, as though I would not come to you.

Ale tak się niektórzy nadęli, jakobym nie miał przyjść do was.

But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power.

Lecz przyjdę rychło do was, jeźli Pan będzie chciał, i poznam nie mowę tych nadętych, ale moc.

For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

Albowiem nie w mowie zależy królestwo Boże, ale w mocy.

What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?

Cóż chcecie? z rózgąli mam przyjść do was, czyli z miłością i duchem cichości?
