Psalms 148

Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights.

Halleluja! Lov Herren fra himmelen, lov ham i det høie!

Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.

Lov ham, alle hans engler, lov ham, all hans hær!

Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.

Lov ham, sol og måne, lov ham, alle I lysende stjerner!

Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.

Lov ham, I himlenes himler og I vann som er ovenover himlene!

Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.

De skal love Herrens navn; for han bød, og de blev skapt,

He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.

og han satte dem på deres sted for all tid, for evig; han gav en lov som ingen av dem overskrider.

Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:

Lov Herren fra jorden, I store sjødyr og alle vanndyp,

Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word:

ild og hagl, sne og damp, stormvind, som setter hans ord i verk,

Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:

I fjell og alle hauger, frukttrær og alle sedrer,

Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:

I ville dyr og alt fe, krypdyr og vingede fugler,

Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:

I jordens konger og alle folk, fyrster og alle jordens dommere,

Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:

unge menn og jomfruer, gamle sammen med unge!

Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.

De skal love Herrens navn; for hans navn alene er ophøiet, hans herlighet er over jorden og himmelen,

He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.

og han har ophøiet et horn for sitt folk til en lovsang for alle sine fromme, for Israels barn, det folk som er ham nær. Halleluja!
