Psalms 47

O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

Ihr Völker alle, klatschet in die Hände! Jauchzet Gott mit Jubelschall!

For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

Denn Jehova, der Höchste, ist furchtbar, ein großer König über die ganze Erde.

He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.

Er unterwarf uns die Völker, und die Völkerschaften unter unsere Füße.

He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.

Er erwählte für uns unser Erbteil, den Stolz Jakobs, den er geliebt hat. (Sela.)

God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.

Gott ist emporgestiegen unter Jauchzen, Jehova unter Posaunenschall.

Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

Singet Gott Psalmen, singet Psalmen; singet Psalmen unserem König, singet Psalmen!

For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

Denn Gott ist König der ganzen Erde; singet Psalmen mit Einsicht!

God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.

Gott regiert über die Nationen; Gott hat sich auf den Thron seiner Heiligkeit gesetzt.

The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.

Die Edlen der Völker haben sich versammelt und das Volk des Gottes Abrahams; denn die Schilde der Erde sind Gottes; er ist sehr erhaben.
