Psalms 149

Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.

] Singet Jehova ein neues Lied, sein Lob in der Versammlung der Frommen!

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

Israel freue sich seines Schöpfers; die Kinder Zions sollen frohlocken über ihren König!

Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

Loben sollen sie seinen Namen mit Reigen, mit Tamburin und Laute ihm Psalmen singen!

For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

Denn Jehova hat Wohlgefallen an seinem Volke; er schmückt die Sanftmütigen mit Rettung.

Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

Es sollen jubeln die Frommen in Herrlichkeit, jauchzen auf ihren Lagern!

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;

Lobeserhebungen Gottes seien in ihrer Kehle, und ein zweischneidiges Schwert in ihrer Hand,

To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

Um Rache auszuüben an den Nationen, Bestrafungen an den Völkerschaften;

To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

Ihre Könige zu binden mit Ketten, und ihre Edlen mit eisernen Fesseln;

To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

An ihnen auszuüben das geschriebene Gericht! Das ist die Ehre aller seiner Frommen. Lobet Jehova!
