Deuteronomy 27

And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.

Und Mose und die Ältesten von Israel geboten dem Volke und sprachen: Beobachtet das ganze Gebot, das ich euch heute gebiete!

And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaister them with plaister:

Und es soll geschehen, an dem Tage, da ihr über den Jordan in das Land hinüberziehet, das Jehova, dein Gott, dir gibt, sollst du dir große Steine aufrichten und sie mit Kalk bestreichen;

And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee.

und wenn du hinübergezogen bist, sollst du alle Worte dieses Gesetzes auf dieselben schreiben, damit du in das Land kommest, welches Jehova, dein Gott, dir gibt, ein Land, das von Milch und Honig fließt, so wie Jehova, der Gott deiner Väter, zu dir geredet hat.

Therefore it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with plaister.

Und es soll geschehen, wenn ihr über den Jordan gezogen seid, so sollt ihr diese Steine, betreffs welcher ich euch heute gebiete, auf dem Berge Ebal aufrichten; und du sollst sie mit Kalk bestreichen.

And there shalt thou build an altar unto the LORD thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them.

Und du sollst daselbst Jehova, deinem Gott, einen Altar bauen, einen Altar von Steinen; du sollst kein Eisen über dieselben schwingen:

Thou shalt build the altar of the LORD thy God of whole stones: and thou shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD thy God:

von ganzen Steinen sollst du den Altar Jehovas, deines Gottes, bauen. Und du sollst Jehova, deinem Gott, Brandopfer darauf opfern,

And thou shalt offer peace offerings, and shalt eat there, and rejoice before the LORD thy God.

und du sollst Friedensopfer opfern, und daselbst essen und dich freuen vor Jehova, deinem Gott. -

And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.

Und auf die Steine sollst du alle Worte dieses Gesetzes schreiben, indem du sie deutlich eingräbst.

And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the LORD thy God.

Und Mose und die Priester, die Leviten, redeten zu dem ganzen Israel und sprachen: Schweige und höre, Israel! an diesem Tage bist du Jehova, deinem Gott, zum Volke geworden.

Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.

So gehorche der Stimme Jehovas, deines Gottes, und tue seine Gebote und seine Satzungen, die ich dir heute gebiete.

And Moses charged the people the same day, saying,

Und Mose gebot dem Volke an selbigem Tage und sprach:

These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:

Wenn ihr über den Jordan gezogen seid, sollen diese auf dem Berge Gerisim stehen, um das Volk zu segnen: Simeon und Levi und Juda und Issaschar und Joseph und Benjamin;

And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.

und diese sollen auf dem Berge Ebal stehen zum Fluchen: Ruben, Gad und Aser und Sebulon, Dan und Naphtali.

And the Levites shall speak, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,

Und die Leviten sollen anheben und zu allen Männern von Israel mit lauter Stimme sprechen:

Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.

Verflucht sei der Mann, der ein geschnitztes oder gegossenes Bild macht, einen Greuel vor Jehova, ein Machwerk von Künstlerhand und es im Geheimen aufstellt! und das ganze Volk antworte und sage: Amen!

Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Verflucht sei, wer seinen Vater oder seine Mutter verachtet! und das ganze Volk sage: Amen!

Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Verflucht sei, wer die Grenze seines Nächsten verrückt! und das ganze Volk sage: Amen!

Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Verflucht sei, wer einen Blinden auf dem Wege irreführt! und das ganze Volk sage: Amen!

Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Verflucht sei, wer das Recht des Fremdlings, der Waise und der Witwe beugt! und das ganze Volk sage: Amen!

Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Verflucht sei, wer bei dem Weibe seines Vaters liegt, denn er hat die Decke seines Vaters aufgedeckt! und das ganze Volk sage: Amen!

Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Verflucht sei, wer bei irgend einem Vieh liegt! und das ganze Volk sage: Amen!

Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Verflucht sei, wer bei seiner Schwester liegt, der Tochter seines Vaters oder der Tochter seiner Mutter! und das ganze Volk sage: Amen!

Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Verflucht sei, wer bei seiner Schwiegermutter liegt! und das ganze Volk sage: Amen!

Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Verflucht sei, wer seinen Nächsten im Geheimen erschlägt! und das ganze Volk sage: Amen!

Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Verflucht sei, wer ein Geschenk nimmt, um jemand zu erschlagen, unschuldiges Blut zu vergießen! und das ganze Volk sage: Amen!

Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Verflucht sei, wer nicht aufrecht hält die Worte dieses Gesetzes, sie zu tun! und das ganze Volk sage: Amen!
