Noah, Sem, Ham, und Japhet.

The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

Die Söhne Japhets: Gomer und Magog und Madai und Jawan und Tubal, und Mesech und Tiras.

And the sons of Gomer; Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

Und die Söhne Gomers: Askenas und Diphath und Togarma.

And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

Und die Söhne Jawans: Elisa und Tarsis, die Kittim und die Rodanim.

The sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

Die Söhne Hams: Kusch und Mizraim, Put und Kanaan.

And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.

Und die Söhne Kuschs: Seba und Hawila, und Sabta und Raghma und Sabteka. Und die Söhne Raghmas: Scheba und Dedan.

And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth.

Und Kusch zeugte Nimrod; der fing an, ein Gewaltiger zu sein auf der Erde. -

And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,

Und Mizraim zeugte die Ludim und die Anamim und die Lehabim und die Naphtuchim,

And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (of whom came the Philistines,) and Caphthorim.

und die Pathrusim und die Kasluchim (von welchen die Philister ausgegangen sind) und die Kaphtorim. -

And Canaan begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,

The Jebusite also, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,

And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

und den Hewiter und den Arkiter und den Siniter,

And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

und den Arwaditer und den Zemariter und den Hamathiter.

The sons of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.

Die Söhne Sems: Elam und Assur und Arpaksad und Lud und Aram, und Uz und Hul und Gether und Mesech.

And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.

Und Arpaksad zeugte Schelach, und Schelach zeugte Heber.

And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was Joktan.

Und Heber wurden zwei Söhne geboren: der Name des einen war Peleg, denn in seinen Tagen wurde die Erde verteilt; und der Name seines Bruders war Joktan.

And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

Und Joktan zeugte Almodad und Scheleph und Hazarmaweth und Jerach,

Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,

und Hadoram und Usal und Dikla,

And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

und Ebal und Abimael und Scheba,

And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

und Ophir und Hawila und Jobab; diese alle waren Söhne Joktans.

Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,

Sem, Arpaksad, Schelach,

Eber, Peleg, Reu,

Heber, Peleg, Reghu,

Serug, Nahor, Terah,

Serug, Nahor, Tarah,

Abram; the same is Abraham.

The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael.

These are their generations: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

Now the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba, and Dedan.

Und die Söhne der Ketura, des Kebsweibes Abrahams: sie gebar Simran und Jokschan und Medan und Midian und Jischbak und Schuach. Und die Söhne Jokschans: Scheba und Dedan.

And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these are the sons of Keturah.

Und die Söhne Midians: Epha und Epher und Hanok und Abida und Eldaa. Diese alle waren Söhne der Ketura. -

And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac; Esau and Israel.

Und Abraham zeugte Isaak. Die Söhne Isaaks: Esau und Israel.

The sons of Esau; Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

Die Söhne Esaus: Eliphas, Reghuel, und Jeghusch und Jaghlam und Korach.

The sons of Eliphaz; Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.

Die Söhne Eliphas’: Teman und Omar, Zephi und Gaetam, Kenas und Timna und Amalek.

The sons of Reuel; Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

Die Söhne Reghuels: Nachath, Serach, Schamma und Missa.

And the sons of Seir; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.

Und die Söhne Seirs: Lotan und Schobal und Zibeon und Ana und Dischon und Ezer und Dischan.

And the sons of Lotan; Hori, and Homam: and Timna was Lotan's sister.

Und die Söhne Lotans: Hori und Homam; und die Schwester Lotans: Timna.

The sons of Shobal; Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon; Aiah, and Anah.

Die Söhne Schobals: Aljan und Manachath und Ebal, Schephi und Onam. Und die Söhne Zibeons: Aja und Ana.

The sons of Anah; Dishon. And the sons of Dishon; Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

Die Söhne Anas: Dischon. Und die Söhne Dischons: Hamran und Eschban und Jithran und Keran. -

The sons of Ezer; Bilhan, and Zavan, and Jakan. The sons of Dishan; Uz, and Aran.

Die Söhne Ezers: Bilhan und Saawan und Jaakan. Die Söhne Dischans: Uz und Aran.

Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel; Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

Und dies sind die Könige, welche im Lande Edom regiert haben, ehe ein König über die Kinder Israel regierte: Bela, der Sohn Beors; und der Name seiner Stadt war Dinhaba.

And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

Und Bela starb; und es ward König an seiner Statt Jobab, der Sohn Serachs, aus Bozra.

And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.

Und Jobab starb; und es ward König an seiner Statt Huscham, aus dem Lande der Temaniter.

And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.

Und Huscham starb; und es ward König an seiner Statt Hadad, der Sohn Bedads, welcher Midian schlug im Gefilde Moabs; und der Name seiner Stadt war Awith.

And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

Und Hadad starb; und es ward König an seiner Statt Samla aus Masreka.

And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

Und Samla starb; und es ward König an seiner Statt Saul, aus Rechoboth am Strome.

And when Shaul was dead, Baal–hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

Und Saul starb; und es ward König an seiner Statt Baal-Hanan, der Sohn Akbors.

And when Baal–hanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

Und Baal-Hanan starb; und es ward König an seiner Statt Hadad; und der Name seiner Stadt war Paghi, und der Name seines Weibes Mehetabeel, die Tochter Matreds, der Tochter Mesahabs.

Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,

Und Hadad starb. Und die Fürsten von Edom waren: der Fürst Timna, der Fürst Alja, der Fürst Jetheth,

Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

der Fürst Oholibama, der Fürst Ela, der Fürst Pinon,

Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,

der Fürst Kenas, der Fürst Teman, der Fürst Mibzar,

Duke Magdiel, duke Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.

der Fürst Magdiel, der Fürst Iram. Das sind die Fürsten von Edom.
