Psalms 132

LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions:

Veisu korkeimmassa Kuorissa. Muista, Herra, Davidia, ja kaikkia hänen vaivojansa,

How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;

Joka Herralle vannoi, ja lupasi lupauksen Jakobin väkevälle:

Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;

En mene huoneeni majaan, enkä vuoteeseeni pane maata;

I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,

En anna silmäini unta saada, enkä silmälautaini torkkua,

Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

Siihenasti kuin minä löydän sian Herralle, Jakobin väkevän asumiseksi.

Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.

Katso, me kuulimme hänestä Ephratassa: me olemme sen löytäneet metsän kedoilla.

We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.

Me tahdomme hänen asuinsioihinsa mennä, ja kumartaa hänen jalkainsa astinlaudan edessä.

Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.

Nouse, Herra, sinun lepoos, sinä ja sinun väkevyytes arkki.

Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.

Anna pappis pukea heitänsä vanhurskaudella ja sinun pyhäs riemuitkaan.

For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.

Älä käännä pois voideltus kasvoja, sinun palvelias Davidin tähden.

The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

Herra on vannonut Davidille totisen valan, ja ei hän siitä vilpistele: sinun ruumiis hedelmästä minä istutan istuimelles.

If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.

Jos sinun lapses minun liittoni pitävät, ja minun todistukseni, jotka minä heille opetan, niin heidän lapsensa myös pitää sinun istuimellas istuman ijankaikkisesti.

For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.

Sillä Herra on Zionin valinnut, ja tahtoo sitä asuinsiaksensa.

This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

Tämä on minun leponi ijankaikkisesti: tässä minä tahdon asua; sillä se minulle kelpaa.

I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.

Minä hyvästi siunaan hänen elatuksensa, ja hänen köyhillensä kyllä annan leipää.

I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

Hänen pappinsa minä puetan autuudella; ja hänen pyhänsä pitää ilolla riemuitseman.

There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.

Siellä minä annan puhjeta Davidin sarven: minä valmistan kynttilän voidellulleni.

His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.

Hänen vihollisensa minä häpiällä puetan; mutta hänen päällänsä pitää hänen kruununsa kukoistaman.
