Mark 7

Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.

Ja hänen tykönsä kokoontuivat Pharisealaiset ja muutamat kirjanoppineista, jotka Jerusalemista tulleet olivat.

And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.

Ja kuin he näkivät muutamat hänen opetuslapsistansa yhteisillä (se on: pesemättömillä) käsillä syövän leipää, laittivat he sitä.

For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.

Sillä pharisealaiset ja kaikki Juudalaiset ei syö, ellei he usein pese käsiänsä, pitäin vanhimpain säätyä.

And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables.

Ja kuin he turulta tulevat, ei he syö pesemättä. Ja monta muuta on, jotka he ovat ottaneet pitääksensä, jota on: juoma-astiain, kivi-astiain, ja vaski-astiain ja pöytäin pesemiset.

Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?

Sitte kysyivät Pharisealaiset ja kirjanoppineet häneltä: miksi ei sinun opetuslapses vaella vanhinpain säädyn jälkeen, vaan syövät pesemättömillä käsillä leipää?

He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

Mutta hän vastaten sanoi heille: Jesaias on hyvästi teistä ulkokullaisista ennustanut, niinkuin kirjoitettu on: tämä kansa kunnioittaa minua huulilla, vaan heidän sydämensä on kaukana minusta.

Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Mutta turhaan he minua palvelevat, opettain sitä oppia, joka on ihmisten käskyjä.

For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

Sillä te hylkäätte Jumalan käskyn, ja pidätte ihmisten säädyn, kivi-astiain ja juoma-astiain pesemiset, ja muita senkaltaisia te paljon teette.

And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Ja hän sanoi heille: hyvin te hylkäätte Jumalan käskyn, että te teidän säätynne pitäisitte.

For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:

Sillä Moses sanoi: kunnioita isääs ja äitiäs! ja joka kiroilee isää eli äitiä, hänen pitää kuolemalla kuoleman.

But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.

Mutta te sanotte: jos ihminen sanoo isälle taikka äidille: korban, (se on uhrattu) jolla sinua piti minulta autettaman.

And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;

Ja ette salli hänen mitään tehdä isällensä taikka äidillensä.

Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

Ja hylkäätte Jumalan sanan teidän säädyllänne, jonka te säätäneet olette, ja senkaltaisia paljon te teette.

And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand:

Ja hän kutsui tykönsä kaiken kansan ja sanoi heille: kuulkaat kaikki minua, ja ymmärtäkäät.

There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.

Ei ole ulkona ihmisestä mitään, joka häneen menee sisälle, ja taitaa hänen saastuttaa; mutta ne, mitkä hänestä tulevat ulos, ne ovat ne, jotka saastuttavat ihmisen.

If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

Jos jollakin on korvat kuulla, se kuulkaan.

And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.

Ja kuin hän kansan tyköä meni huoneeseen, kysyivät hänen opetuslapsensa häneltä tästä vertauksesta.

And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;

Ja hän sanoi heille: oletteko tekin niin ymmärtämättömät? ettekö ymmärrä, että kaikki mikä ulkoa menee ihmiseen, ei se häntä taida saastuttaa?

Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?

Sillä ei se mene hänen sydämeensä, vaan vatsaan, ja menee luonnollisesti ulos, kaikki ruat puhdistain.

And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.

Ja hän sanoi: mitä ihmisestä tulee ulos, se saastuttaa ihmisen.

For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

Sillä sisältä ihmisten sydämestä tulevat ulos pahat ajatukset, huoruudet, salavuoteudet, miestapot,

Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

Varkaudet, ahneudet, pahat juonet, petos, irstaisuus, pahansuomuus, Jumalan pilkka, ylpeys, hulluus.

All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

Kaikki nämät pahuudet sisältä tulevat ulos ja saastuttavat ihmisen.

And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.

Niin hän nousi ja meni sieltä Tyron ja Sidonin maan ääriin, ja meni sisälle huoneeseen, eikä tahtonut sitä kenellekään antaa tietää: ja ei hän taitanut salaa olla.

For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:

Sillä kuin yksi vaimo kuuli hänestä, jonka vähällä tyttärellä oli saastainen henki, niin se tuli ja lankesi hänen jalkainsa juureen,

The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.

(Mutta vaimo oli Gregiläinen, Syrophenisiassa syntynyt) ja hän rukoili häntä ajamaan pois perkelettä hänen tyttärestänsä.

But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.

Niin Jesus sanoi hänelle: salli ensin lapset ravittaa; sillä ei se ole kohtuullinen, ottaa lasten leipää ja heittää penikoille.

And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.

Mutta hän vastasi ja sanoi hänelle: tosin Herra: syövät penikatkin pöydän alla lasten muruista.

And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.

Ja hän sanoi hänelle: tämän puheen tähden mene: perkele läksi ulos sinun tyttärestäs.

And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.

Ja kuin hän meni kotiansa, löysi hän perkeleen lähteneeksi ulos ja tyttärensä makaavan vuoteessa.

And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.

Ja taas kuin hän läksi Tyron ja Sidonin maan ääristä, tuli hän Galilean meren tykö, kymmenen kaupungin maan äärten keskitse.

And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him.

Ja he toivat hänen tykönsä kuuron, joka myös mykkä oli, ja he rukoilivat häntä panemaan kätensä hänen päällensä,

And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;

Ja hän otti hänen erinänsä kansasta ja pisti sormensa hänen korviinsa, sylki ja rupesi hänen kieleensä,

And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.

Ja katsahtain taivaaseen huokasi, ja sanoi hänelle; ephphata, se on: aukene.

And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.

Ja kohta aukenivat hänen korvansa, ja hänen kielensä side pääsi vallallensa ja puhui selkiästi.

And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;

Ja hän haasti heidät kellenkään sanomasta. Mutta jota enemmän hän haasti, sitä enemmin he ilmoittivat.

And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

Ja he suuresti hämmästyivät, sanoen: hyvästi hän kaikki teki: kuurot hän tekee kuulemaan ja mykät puhumaan.
