Psalms 75

Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.

خدایا، تو را شکر می‌کنیم و از تو سپاسگزاریم. نام تو را می‌خوانیم و کارهای عجیب تو را در همه‌جا اعلام می‌نماییم.

When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.

خدا می‌فرماید: «من زمانی را برای داوری تعیین کرده‌ام و همه را از روی انصاف داوری خواهم كرد.

The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.

وقتی‌که زمین به لرزه درآید و ساکنان آن به وحشت افتند، من ستونهای آن را در جایشان محکم و استوار نگاه خواهم داشت.

I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

به اشخاص متکبّر می‌گویم که مغرور نباشند و به شریران امر می‌کنم که به قدرت خود نبالند

Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.

و از روی غرور و تکبّر سخن نگویند.»

For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.

زیرا که افتخار، نه از شرق، نه از غرب و نه از بیابان می‌‌آید،

But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

بلکه خداست که داوری می‌نماید. یکی را سرافکنده می‌کند و دیگری را برمی‌افرازد.

For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.

زیرا خداوند جامی در دست دارد که پُر از شراب خشم اوست. او آن را به تمام شریران می‌نوشاند و آنها تا آخرین قطره آن را می‌نوشند.

But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

امّا من همیشه خدای یعقوب را تمجید خواهم كرد و برای او سرود خواهم خواند.

All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.

او قدرت شریران را درهم خواهد کوبید و نیکوکاران را سربلند خواهد نمود.
