Psalms 47

O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

ای مردمان جهان دست زنید، و با آواز بلند به حضور خدا بسرایید!

For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

از خداوند، آن قادر متعال باید ترسید او پادشاه بزرگی است، بر سراسر جهان پادشاهی می‌کند.

He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.

او ما را بر اقوام جهان پیروز می‌گرداند؛ و ملّتها را در پیش پای ما به خاک می‌اندازد.

He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.

او این سرزمین را برای سکونت ما انتخاب کرد، سرزمینی که موجب افتخار فرزندان یعقوب است، قومی که او آنها را دوست می‌دارد.

God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.

خدا در میان هلهلهٔ شادی و با صدای شیپور به تخت خود جلوس نمود.

Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

در ستایش خدا سرود بخوانید، برای پادشاه ما سرود نیایش بخوانید.

For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

خدا پادشاه سراسر جهان است؛ با سرود او را ستایش کنید.

God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.

خدا بر تخت مقدّس خود نشسته و بر مردم جهان حکمرانی می‌کند.

The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.

پادشاهان جهان با قوم خدای ابراهیم برای پرستش او جمع می‌شوند، زیرا او نیرومندتر از همهٔ لشکرهای دنیا و حاکم مطلق جهان است.
