Psalms 21

The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

خداوندا، پادشاه به‌خاطر توانایی که به او بخشیدی شادمان است، و برای اینکه او را پیروز گرداندی شادی می‌کند.

Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.

آرزوهایش را برآوردی و هیچ یک از خواهش‌های او را رد نکردی.

For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.

او را با برکات نیکو استقبال نمودی و تاجی از طلای ناب بر سر او گذاردی.

He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.

او از تو طول عمر درخواست نمود و تو به او عمری طولانی و ابدی دادی.

His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.

با کمک تو به جاه و جلال رسید. و تو به وی شهرت و مقام عطا کردی.

For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.

برکات تو تا ابد با او خواهد بود، و حضور تو او را از خوشی سرشار می‌نماید.

For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.

پادشاه به خداوند متعال اعتماد دارد و به‌خاطر محبّت پایدار او پیوسته در امان خواهد بود.

Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.

دست تو بر دشمنانت مسلّط خواهد شد و دست راست تو همهٔ کسانی را که از تو نفرت دارند، به چنگ خواهد آورد.

Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

وقتی ظاهر شوی، آنها را مانند کورهٔ آتش می‌گردانی. خداوند در خشم خود آنها را نابود خواهد کرد و آتش، آنها را از بین خواهد برد.

Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.

نسل ایشان را از روی زمین محو می‌کنی و فرزندان آنها را از میان بنی‌آدم.

For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.

اگر نقشه‌های شریرانه برضد تو بکشند، و یا دسیسه‌ای به کار ببرند، موفّق نخواهند شد،

Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.

تو آنها را هدف تیر خود قرار می‌دهی و آنها برگشته و فرار می‌کنند.

Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.

خداوندا، قدرت و جلال از آن توست. ما سرود خواهیم خواند و قدرت تو را خواهیم ستود.
