Genesis 23

And Sarah was an hundred and seven and twenty years old: these were the years of the life of Sarah.

Kaj la vivo de Sara estis cent dudek sep jaroj; tiom estis la jaroj de la vivo de Sara.

And Sarah died in Kirjath–arba; the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan: and Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.

Kaj Sara mortis en Kirjat-Arba, kiu estas Ĥebron, en la lando Kanaana. Kaj Abraham venis, por funebri pri Sara kaj plori pri ŝi.

And Abraham stood up from before his dead, and spake unto the sons of Heth, saying,

Kaj Abraham leviĝis for de sia mortintino, kaj diris al la filoj de Ĥet jene:

I am a stranger and a sojourner with you: give me a possession of a buryingplace with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.

Fremdulo kaj pasloĝanto mi estas ĉe vi; donu al mi posedotan lokon por tombo inter vi, por ke mi enterigu mian mortintinon, kiu estas antaŭ mi.

And the children of Heth answered Abraham, saying unto him,

Kaj la filoj de Ĥet respondis al Abraham, dirante al li:

Hear us, my lord: thou art a mighty prince among us: in the choice of our sepulchres bury thy dead; none of us shall withhold from thee his sepulchre, but that thou mayest bury thy dead.

Aŭskultu nin, nia sinjoro! vi estas princo de Dio inter ni; en la plej elektitaj niaj tomboj enterigu vian mortintinon; neniu el ni rifuzos al vi sian tomblokon, por enterigi vian mortintinon.

And Abraham stood up, and bowed himself to the people of the land, even to the children of Heth.

Kaj Abraham leviĝis, kaj profunde kliniĝis antaŭ la popolo de la lando, antaŭ la filoj de Ĥet.

And he communed with them, saying, If it be your mind that I should bury my dead out of my sight; hear me, and intreat for me to Ephron the son of Zohar,

Kaj li diris al ili jene: Se plaĉas al vi, ke mi enterigu mian mortintinon, kiu estas antaŭ mi, tiam aŭskultu min kaj petu por mi Efronon, la filon de Coĥar,

That he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he hath, which is in the end of his field; for as much money as it is worth he shall give it me for a possession of a buryingplace amongst you.

ke li donu al mi la duoblan kavernon, kiun li havas en la fino de sia kampo; por plena sumo da mono li donu ĝin al mi inter vi por tomba posedaĵo.

And Ephron dwelt among the children of Heth: and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audience of the children of Heth, even of all that went in at the gate of his city, saying,

Kaj Efron sidis inter la filoj de Ĥet, kaj respondis Efron la Ĥetido al Abraham aŭdeble por la filoj de Ĥet, antaŭ ĉiuj, kiuj venis en la pordegon de lia urbo, dirante:

Nay, my lord, hear me: the field give I thee, and the cave that is therein, I give it thee; in the presence of the sons of my people give I it thee: bury thy dead.

Ne, mia sinjoro, aŭskultu min! la kampon mi donas al vi, kaj la kavernon, kiu estas sur ĝi, al vi mi donas, antaŭ la okuloj de la filoj de mia popolo mi donas ĝin al vi; enterigu vian mortintinon.

And Abraham bowed down himself before the people of the land.

Kaj Abraham profunde kliniĝis antaŭ la popolo de la lando.

And he spake unto Ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, But if thou wilt give it, I pray thee, hear me: I will give thee money for the field; take it of me, and I will bury my dead there.

Kaj li diris al Efron aŭdeble por la popolo de la lando jene: Mi petas, aŭskultu min: mi donas monon por la kampo; prenu de mi, kaj mi enterigos tie mian mortintinon.

And Ephron answered Abraham, saying unto him,

Kaj Efron respondis al Abraham, dirante al li:

My lord, hearken unto me: the land is worth four hundred shekels of silver; what is that betwixt me and thee? bury therefore thy dead.

Mia sinjoro, aŭskultu min: la tero valoras kvarcent siklojn; sed kio ĝi estas inter mi kaj vi? enterigu vian mortintinon.

And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver, which he had named in the audience of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current money with the merchant.

Kaj Abraham aŭskultis Efronon, kaj Abraham pesis al Efron la monon, pri kiu li parolis aŭdeble por la filoj de Ĥet, kvarcent siklojn da arĝento, uzata en la komerco.

And the field of Ephron, which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field, and the cave which was therein, and all the trees that were in the field, that were in all the borders round about, were made sure

Kaj la kampo de Efron kun la duobla kaverno, kiu estis antaŭ Mamre, la kampo kaj la kaverno sur ĝi kaj ĉiuj arboj sur la kampo, inter ĉiuj ĝiaj limoj ĉirkaŭe, fariĝis

Unto Abraham for a possession in the presence of the children of Heth, before all that went in at the gate of his city.

posedaĵo de Abraham antaŭ la okuloj de la filoj de Ĥet, de ĉiuj, kiuj venis en la pordegon de lia urbo.

And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre: the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan.

Kaj post tio Abraham enterigis sian edzinon Sara en la duobla kaverno de la kampo, antaŭ Mamre, kiu estas Ĥebron, en la lando Kanaana.

And the field, and the cave that is therein, were made sure unto Abraham for a possession of a buryingplace by the sons of Heth.

Kaj la kampo kaj la kaverno sur ĝi fariĝis tomba posedaĵo de Abraham, kiun li akiris de la filoj de Ĥet.
