Psalms 3

LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.

Psalam. Davidov. Kad je David bježao pred sinom Abšalomom.

Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

Jahve, koliko je tlačitelja mojih, koliki se podižu na me!

But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

Mnogi su što o meni zbore: "Nema mu spasenja u Bogu!"

I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.

Ti si ipak štit moj, Jahve; slavo moja, ti mi glavu podižeš.

I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.

Iza sveg glasa Jahvi zavapih, i on me usliša sa svete gore svoje.

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.

Sad mogu leć' i usnuti, i onda ustat' jer me Jahve drži.

Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.

Ne bojim se tisuća ljudi što me opsjedaju dušmanski.

Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.

Ustani, o Jahve! Spasi me, o Bože moj! Ti udaraš po obrazu sve neprijatelje moje, opakima zube razbijaš. [ (Psalms 3:9) U Jahve je spasenje: na tvom narodu tvoj je blagoslov! ]
