James 5

Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.

Елате сега вие, богатите, плачете и ридайте поради бедствията, които идват върху вас.

Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.

Богатството ви изгни и дрехите ви са изядени от молци.

Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

Златото ви и среброто ви ръждясаха и ръждата им ще свидетелства против вас и ще изяде месата ви като огън. Вие събирахте съкровища в последните дни.

Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.

Ето, заплатата на работниците, които са жънали нивите ви, и от която ги лишихте, вика и виковете на жетварите влязоха в ушите на Господа на Войнствата.

Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.

Вие живяхте на земята разкошно и разпуснато; угоихте сърцата си в ден на клане.

Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.

Осъдихте, убихте праведния и той не ви се противи.

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

И така, братя, останете търпеливи до Господното пришествие. Ето, земеделецът очаква скъпоценния плод от земята и дълго търпи за него, докато получи и ранния, и късния дъжд.

Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

Бъдете и вие търпеливи и укрепете сърцата си, защото Господното пришествие наближи.

Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

Не се оплаквайте един от друг, братя, за да не бъдете осъдени; ето, Съдията стои пред вратата.

Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.

Братя, вземете за пример на страдание и на търпение пророците, които говориха в Господното Име.

Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Ето, облажаваме онези, които са останали твърди. Чули сте за твърдостта на Йов и сте видели края от Господа – че Господ е много жалостив и милостив.

But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.

А преди всичко, братя мои, не се кълнете нито в небето, нито в земята, нито с някоя друга клетва; а нека вашето Да да бъде Да и вашето Не да бъде Не, за да не паднете под осъждане.

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

Страда ли някой от вас, нека се моли. Весел ли е някой, нека пее хваления.

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

Болен ли е някой от вас, нека повика старейшините на църквата и нека се помолят над него и го помажат с масло в Господното Име.

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

И молитвата на вярата ще избави страдащия и Господ ще го повдигне, и ако е извършил грехове, ще му се простят.

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

И така, изповядвайте един на друг греховете си и се молете един за друг, за да оздравеете. Много може молитвата на праведния в действието си.

Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

Илия беше човек със същото естество като нас; и се помоли с молитва да не вали дъжд, и не валя дъжд на земята три години и шест месеца.

And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

И пак се помоли, и небето даде дъжд и земята произведе своя плод.

Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;

Братя мои, ако някой от вас се отклони от истината и един го обърне,

Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

нека знае, че който е обърнал грешния от заблудения му път, ще спаси една душа от смърт и ще покрие много грехове.
