Hosea 4

Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

Слушайте словото ГОСПОДНО, израилеви синове! Защото ГОСПОД има съд с жителите на земята, понеже няма вярност и няма милост, и няма познаване на Бога по земята.

By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.

Клетва и лъжа, и убийство, и кражба, и прелюбодейство — преминаване на всички граници и кръв се допира до кръв!

Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.

Затова ще скърби земята и всеки неин жител ще примре с полските зверове и с небесните птици и морските риби ще бъдат грабнати.

Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for thy people are as they that strive with the priest.

Но никой да не спори и да не порицава, защото твоят народ е като онези, които спорят със свещеника.

Therefore shalt thou fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall with thee in the night, and I will destroy thy mother.

Затова ще се препънеш денем и с теб ще се препъне и пророкът нощем; и Аз ще оставя да загине майка ти.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Народът Ми загива от липса на знание. Понеже ти отхвърли знанието, и Аз отхвърлих теб да не ми свещенодействаш. Понеже ти забрави закона на своя Бог, и Аз ще забравя синовете ти.

As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.

Колкото се умножаваха, толкова съгрешаваха против Мен! Славата им ще обърна в безчестие.

They eat up the sin of my people, and they set their heart on their iniquity.

Хранят се с греховете на народа Ми и към беззаконието му прилепиха сърцата си.

And there shall be, like people, like priest: and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings.

И ще бъде: Какъвто народът, такъв и свещеникът. И Аз ще го накажа за пътищата му и ще му върна за делата му.

For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the LORD.

Защото ще ядат, но няма да се насищат, ще блудстват, но няма да се размножават, понеже престанаха да внимават към ГОСПОДА.

Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the heart.

Блудство и вино, и младо вино отнемат разума.

My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God.

Народът Ми се допитва до дървото си и пръчката му му отговаря, защото дух на блудство ги е отклонил и те блудстват и оставиха своя Бог.

They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burn incense upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and elms, because the shadow thereof is good: therefore your daughters shall commit whoredom, and your spouses shall commit adultery.

Жертват по върховете на хълмовете и кадят по високите места, под цяровете и тополите, и дъбовете, защото сянката им е добра; затова дъщерите ви блудстват и снахите ви прелюбодействат.

I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people that doth not understand shall fall.

Няма да накажа дъщерите ви, когато блудстват, и снахите ви, когато прелюбодействат, защото те самите се отделят с блудниците и жертват с посветените; и народът, който няма разум, ще бъде повален.

Though thou, Israel, play the harlot, yet let not Judah offend; and come not ye unto Gilgal, neither go ye up to Beth–aven, nor swear, The LORD liveth.

Ако ти блудстваш, Израилю, Юда да не върши беззаконие! И не идвайте в Галгал и не се изкачвайте във Ветавен, и не се кълнете: Жив е ГОСПОД!

For Israel slideth back as a backsliding heifer: now the LORD will feed them as a lamb in a large place.

Защото Израил упорства като упорита юница. Сега ще ги пасе ГОСПОД като агнета на широки места.

Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.

Ефрем се е прилепил към идолите — остави го!

Their drink is sour: they have committed whoredom continually: her rulers with shame do love, Give ye.

Пирът им свърши, предадоха се на блудство, обичат да казват: Дайте! Първенците му обичат позора.

The wind hath bound her up in her wings, and they shall be ashamed because of their sacrifices.

Вятърът ще го обгърне с крилете си и те ще се посрамят от жертвите си.
