Ecclesiastes 8

Who is as the wise man? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? a man's wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed.

Кой е като мъдрия и кой знае обяснението на нещата? Мъдростта на човека осветлява лицето му и твърдостта на лицето му се променя.

I counsel thee to keep the king's commandment, and that in regard of the oath of God.

Аз казвам: Пази царската заповед заради клетвата си към Бога.

Be not hasty to go out of his sight: stand not in an evil thing; for he doeth whatsoever pleaseth him.

Не бързай да излезеш от присъствието му. Не постоянствай в зло дело, защото той върши всичко, каквото иска.

Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?

В думата на царя има власт, кой ще му каже: Какво правиш?

Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment.

Който пази заповедта, няма да види зло, защото мъдрото сърце познава време и правилен начин.

Because to every purpose there is time and judgment, therefore the misery of man is great upon him.

Понеже за всяко нещо има време и правилен начин, понеже злощастието на човека тежи върху него.

For he knoweth not that which shall be: for who can tell him when it shall be?

Защото не знае какво ще се случи, понеже кой може да му каже какво ще стане?

There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.

Няма човек който да има власт над духа, за да задържи духа, и никой няма власт в деня на смъртта. От тази война няма уволнение и безбожието няма да избави онези, които са се предали на него.

All this have I seen, and applied my heart unto every work that is done under the sun: there is a time wherein one man ruleth over another to his own hurt.

Всичко това видях и обърнах сърцето си към всяко дело, което се върши под слънцето: има време, в което човек господства над друг човек за своя вреда.

And so I saw the wicked buried, who had come and gone from the place of the holy, and they were forgotten in the city where they had so done: this is also vanity.

Тогава видях безбожните погребани — които бяха идвали и си отивали от святото място — и те бяха забравени в града, където бяха правили така. И това е суета.

Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

Понеже присъдата срещу зло дело не се изпълнява бързо, затова сърцето на човешките синове е напълно предадено в тях да вършат зло.

Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him:

Въпреки че грешникът върши зло сто пъти и дългоденства, пак аз зная, че ще бъде добре на боящите се от Бога, които се боят пред Него.

But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.

Но на безбожния няма да бъде добре и като сянка няма да продължи дните си, защото не се бои пред Бога.

There is a vanity which is done upon the earth; that there be just men, unto whom it happeneth according to the work of the wicked; again, there be wicked men, to whom it happeneth according to the work of the righteous: I said that this also is vanity.

Има една суета, която става на земята — че има праведни, на които се случва според делата на безбожните, и има безбожни, на които се случва според делата на праведните. Казах, че и това е суета.

Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun.

Затова аз похвалих веселието, защото няма нищо по-добро за човека под слънцето от това да яде и да пие, и да се весели. И това ще му остане от труда му в дните на живота му, които Бог му дава под слънцето.

When I applied mine heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done upon the earth: (for also there is that neither day nor night seeth sleep with his eyes:)

Когато предадох сърцето си да позная мъдростта и да видя работата, която се върши на земята — макар че човек не вижда сън с очите си нито денем, нито нощем —

Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea further; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.

тогава видях в цялото Божие дело, че човек не може да открие делото, което става под слънцето. Колкото и да се труди човек и да търси, няма да го открие; и дори мъдрият да твърди, че го познава, не може да го открие.
