Acts 4

And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,

И когато те говореха на народа, свещениците, началникът на храмовата стража и садукеите дойдоха при тях,

Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

възмутени за това, че те поучаваха народа и проповядваха в Името на Иисус възкресението от мъртвите.

And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

И те сложиха ръце на тях и ги поставиха под стража за следващия ден, защото беше вече привечер.

Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

А мнозина от тези, които чуха словото, повярваха; и броят на повярвалите мъже стигна до пет хиляди.

And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,

И на другия ден се събраха в Ерусалим началниците им, старейшините и книжниците,

And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

първосвещеникът Анна и Каяфа, Йоан, Александър и всички, които бяха от първосвещеническия род.

And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

И като ги поставиха на средата, ги питаха: С каква сила или в кое име вие извършихте това?

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

Тогава Петър, изпълнен със Светия Дух, им каза: Началници народни и старейшини,

If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

ако ни изпитвате днес за едно благодеяние сторено на немощен човек, чрез какво той беше изцелен,

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

нека да знаете всички вие и целият народ Израил, че в Името на Иисус Христос Назарянина, когото вие разпънахте, когото Бог възкреси от мъртвите – в това Име този човек стои пред вас здрав.

This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

Той е камъкът, който вие зидарите презряхте, който стана глава на ъгъла.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

И чрез никой друг няма спасение; защото няма под небето друго име дадено между хората, чрез което трябва да се спасим.

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

А те, като гледаха дързостта на Петър и Йоан и бяха вече забелязали, че са неучени и необразовани хора, се чудеха и познаха, че са били с Иисус.

And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

Но като виждаха изцеления човек да стои с тях, нямаха какво да възразят.

But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,

И като им заповядаха да излязат вън от Синедриона, се съвещаваха помежду си,

Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.

казвайки: Какво да направим на тези хора, защото на всички ерусалимски жители е известно, че бележито знамение стана чрез тях, и не можем да го отречем.

But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

Но за да не се разнася повече между народа, нека строго да ги заплашим, за да не говорят вече на никого в това име.

And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

И те ги повикаха и им заповядаха изобщо да не говорят, нито да поучават в Името на Иисус.

But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

Но Петър и Йоан в отговор им казаха: Правилно ли е пред Бога да слушаме повече вас, отколкото Бога – вие отсъдете;

For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

защото ние не можем да не говорим това, което сме видели и чули.

So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

А те, като ги заплашиха още повече, ги пуснаха, понеже не знаеха как да ги накажат заради народа, защото всички славеха Бога за станалото.

For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

Защото човекът, върху когото се извърши това знамение на изцеление, беше на повече от четиридесет години.

And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.

И когато ги пуснаха, те отидоха при своите и известиха всичко, което им бяха казали главните свещеници и старейшините.

And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:

А те, като чуха, издигнаха единодушно глас към Бога и казаха: Владетелю, Ти си Бог, който си направил небето, земята, морето и всичко, което е в тях.

Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?

Ти чрез Светия Дух и чрез устата на баща ни Давид, Твоя слуга, си казал: ?Защо се разяряваха езичниците и народите намисляха суети?

The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

Опълчваха се земните царе и управниците се събираха заедно против Господа и против Неговия Помазаник.“

For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

Защото наистина против Твоя свят Слуга Иисус, когото Ти си помазал, се събраха в този град и Ирод, и Пилат Понтийски с езичниците и народа на Израил,

For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

за да извършат всичко, което Твоята ръка и Твоята воля са предопределили да стане.

And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

И сега, Господи, погледни на техните заплашвания и дай на Своите слуги да говорят Твоето слово с пълна дързост,

By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

като Ти простираш ръката Си за изцеление и да стават знамения и чудеса чрез Името на Твоя свят Слуга Иисус.

And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

И като се помолиха, мястото, където бяха събрани, се разтърси и всички бяха изпълнени със Светия Дух, и с дързост говореха Божието слово.

And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

А множеството на повярвалите имаше едно сърце и една душа и нито един от тях не казваше, че нещо от имота му е негово, а всичко им беше общо.

And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

И апостолите с голяма сила свидетелстваха за възкресението на Господ Иисус и голяма благодат беше върху всички тях.

Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

А и никой от тях не беше в лишение, защото всички, които бяха стопани на ниви или на къщи, ги продаваха и донасяха стойността на продаденото,

And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

и я слагаха при краката на апостолите; и се разпределяше на всекиго, според колкото имаше нужда.

And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,

Така Йосиф, наречен от апостолите Варнава, което се превежда Син на утешение, левит, родом от Кипър,

Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet.

като имаше нива, я продаде, донесе парите и ги сложи пред краката на апостолите.
