II Kings 22

Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath.

Йосия беше на осем години, когато се възцари, и царува тридесет и една години в Ерусалим. Името на майка му беше Йедида, дъщеря на Адая от Васкат.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.

Той върши това, което беше право пред ГОСПОДА, и ходи във всичките пътища на баща си Давид, без да се отклони надясно или наляво.

And it came to pass in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, that the king sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, the son of Meshullam, the scribe, to the house of the LORD, saying,

И в осемнадесетата година на цар Йосия царят прати в ГОСПОДНИЯ дом писаря Сафан, сина на Азалия, син на Месулам, и каза:

Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may sum the silver which is brought into the house of the LORD, which the keepers of the door have gathered of the people:

Иди при първосвещеника Хелкия и му кажи да приготви внесените в ГОСПОДНИЯ дом пари, които вратарите са събрали от народа,

And let them deliver it into the hand of the doers of the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD: and let them give it to the doers of the work which is in the house of the LORD, to repair the breaches of the house,

и нека ги предадат в ръката на онези, които вършат делото, които надзирават ГОСПОДНИЯ дом, а те нека ги дадат на онези, които вършат делото, които са в ГОСПОДНИЯ дом, за да поправят разрушеното на дома —

Unto carpenters, and builders, and masons, and to buy timber and hewn stone to repair the house.

на дърводелците и на строителите, и на зидарите, и за да купят дървен материал и дялани камъни, за да поправят дома.

Howbeit there was no reckoning made with them of the money that was delivered into their hand, because they dealt faithfully.

Но да не се държи сметка за предаваните в ръцете им пари, защото постъпват честно.

And Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD. And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it.

Тогава първосвещеникът Хелкия каза на писаря Сафан: Намерих книгата на закона в ГОСПОДНИЯ дом. И Хелкия даде книгата на Сафан и той я прочете.

And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have gathered the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of them that do the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD.

И писарят Сафан отиде при царя и занесе вест на царя, и каза: Слугите ти изсипаха парите, които се намериха в дома, и ги предадоха в ръката на онези, които вършат делото, които надзирават ГОСПОДНИЯ дом.

And Shaphan the scribe shewed the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath delivered me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.

И писарят Сафан съобщи на царя и каза: Свещеник Хелкия ми даде една книга. И Сафан я прочете пред царя.

And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the book of the law, that he rent his clothes.

А когато царят чу думите на книгата на закона, раздра дрехите си.

And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Michaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asahiah a servant of the king's, saying,

И царят заповяда на свещеник Хелкия и на Ахикам, сина на Сафан, и на Аховор, сина на Михей, и на писаря Сафан, и на царския слуга Асая и каза:

Go ye, enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.

Идете, допитайте се до ГОСПОДА за мен, за народа и за целия Юда относно думите на тази книга, която се намери, защото голяма е яростта на ГОСПОДА, която е пламнала против нас, понеже бащите ни не са послушали думите на тази книга да постъпват според всичко, което е писано за нас.

So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her.

Тогава свещеник Хелкия, Ахикам, Аховор, Сафан и Асая отидоха при пророчицата Олда, жената на Селум, пазителя на одеждите, син на Текуя, син на Арас. А тя живееше в Ерусалим, във втория участък. И те говориха с нея.

And she said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you to me,

И тя им каза: Така казва ГОСПОД, Израилевият Бог: Кажете на човека, който ви е изпратил до Мен:

Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the words of the book which the king of Judah hath read:

Така казва ГОСПОД: Ето, Аз ще докарам зло на това място и на жителите му — всички думи на книгата, която юдовият цар е прочел —

Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched.

понеже Ме оставиха и кадиха на други богове, и Ме разгневиха с всичките дела на ръцете си, затова яростта Ми ще пламне против това място и няма да угасне.

But to the king of Judah which sent you to enquire of the LORD, thus shall ye say to him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, As touching the words which thou hast heard;

Но на юдовия цар, който ви прати да се допитате до ГОСПОДА, на него кажете така: Така казва ГОСПОД, Израилевият Бог: За думите, които си чул:

Because thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the LORD, when thou heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith the LORD.

понеже сърцето ти омекна и ти се смири пред ГОСПОДА, когато чу това, което говорих против това място и против жителите му, че ще запустеят и ще станат за проклетия, и раздра дрехите си и плака пред Мен, затова и Аз послушах, заявява ГОСПОД.

Behold therefore, I will gather thee unto thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered into thy grave in peace; and thine eyes shall not see all the evil which I will bring upon this place. And they brought the king word again.

Затова, ето, Аз ще те прибера при бащите ти и ще се прибереш в гроба си с мир и очите ти няма да видят нищо от злото, което ще докарам на това място. И те донесоха отговора на царя.
