Psalms 87

Salmo dei figliuoli di Kore. Canto. L’Eterno ha fondato la sua città sui monti santi.

His foundation is in the holy mountains.

Egli ama le porte di Sion più di tutte le dimore di Giacobbe.

The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

Cose gloriose son dette di te, o città di Dio! Sela.

Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.

Io mentoverò l’Egitto e Babilonia fra quelli che mi conoscono: Ecco la Filistia e Tiro, con l’Etiopia: Ciascun d’essi è nato in Sion!

I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.

E si dirà di Sion: Questo qui e quello là son nati in lei; e l’Altissimo stesso la renderà stabile.

And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.

L’Eterno iscriverà, passando in rassegna i popoli: Questo è nato là. Sela.

The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah.

E cantando e danzando diranno: Tutte le fonti della mia gioia sono in te.

As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee.
