Psalms 97

यहोवा शासनकरता है, और धरती प्रसन्न हैं। और सभी दूर के देश प्रसन्न हैं

The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.

यहोवा को काले गहरे बादल घेरे हुए हैं। नेकी और न्याय उसके राज्य को दूढ़ किये हैं।

Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.

यहोवा के सामने आग चला करती है, और वह उसके बैरियों का नाश करती है।

A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.

उसकी बिजली गगन में काँधा करती है। लोग उसे देखते हैं और भयभीत रहते हैं।

His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.

यहोवा के सामने पहाड़ ऐसे पिघल जाते हैं, जैसे मोम पिघल जाती है। वे धरती के स्वामी के सामने पिघल जाते हैं।

The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

अम्बर उसकी नेकी का बखान करते हैं। हर कोई परमेश्वर की महिमा देख ले।

The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.

लोग उनकी मूर्तियों की पूजा करते हैं। वे अपने “देवताओं” की डींग हाँकते हैं। लेकिन वे लोग लज्जित होंगे। उनके “देवता” यहोवा के सामने झुकेंगे और उपासना करेंगे।

Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods.

हे सिय्योन, सुन और प्रसन्न हो! यहूदा के नगरों, प्रसन्न हो! क्यों? क्योंकि यहोवा विवेकपूर्ण न्याय करता है।

Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD.

हे सर्वोच्च यहोवा, सचमुच तू ही धरती पर शासन करता हैं। तू दूसरे “देवताओं” से अधिक उत्तम है।

For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.

जो लोग यहोवा से प्रेम रखते हैं, वे पाप से घृणा करते हैं। इसलिए परमेश्वर अपने अनुयायियों की रक्षा करता है। परमेश्वर अपने अनुयायियों को दुष्ट लोगों से बचाता है।

Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

ज्योति और आनन्द सज्जनों पर चमकते हैं।

Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

हे सज्जनों परमेश्वर में प्रसन्न रहो! उसके पवित्र नाम का आदर करते रहो!

Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
