Psalms 107

Lwanj pou Seyè a paske li bon! Li p'ap janm sispann renmen nou!

O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Wi, moun Seyè a delivre, se sa pou yo di! Li te delivre yo anba men lènmi yo,

Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

li mennen yo tounen soti nan mitan lòt nasyon yo ki sou bò solèy leve ak sou bò solèy kouche, ki sou bò nò ak sou bò sid.

And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.

Yo t'ap moute desann nan dezè a, kote ki pa gen moun rete a. Yo pa t' kapab jwenn chemen pou ale nan yon vil pou yo rete.

They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.

Yo t'ap mouri grangou. Swaf dlo t'ap touye yo. Yo santi yo pa t' kapab ankò.

Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

Anba tout tray sa yo, yo rele nan pye Seyè a. Li wete yo nan lafliksyon sa a.

Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.

Li kondi yo sou yon chemen ki pou mennen yo dirèk dirèk nan yon vil kote moun rete.

And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

Se pou yo di Seyè a mèsi pou jan li pa janm sispann renmen yo, pou bèl bagay li fè pou moun.

Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Li bay moun ki te swaf dlo kont dlo pou yo bwè. Li bay moun ki t'ap mouri grangou anpil bon bagay pou yo manje.

For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

Gen ladan yo ki te rete kote ki te fè nwa a, kote lavi yo te an danje anpil. Yo te prizonye, yo t'ap soufri anba chenn,

Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;

paske yo te derefize obeyi kòmandman Bondye ki anwo nan syèl la. Yo pa t' okipe konsèy Bondye te ba yo.

Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:

Li te kraze kouraj yo anba travay di. Yo tonbe atè. pa t' gen pesonn pou ba yo men.

Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.

Anba tout tray sa yo, yo rele nan pye Seyè a. Li wete yo nan lafliksyon sa a.

Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.

Li fè yo soti kote ki fè nwa a. Li kase chenn ki te mare yo.

He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.

Se pou yo di Seyè a mèsi pou jan li pa janm sispann renmen yo, pou bèl bagay Bondye fè pou moun.

Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Li kraze gwo pòt an fè yo. Li kase bawo an fè yo.

For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.

Gen ladan yo ki te vin fou, akòz peche yo te fè. Yo t'ap soufri paske yo te fè sa ki mal.

Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

Yo pa t' menm anvi manje, yo te prèt pou mouri.

Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.

Anba tout tray sa yo, yo rele nan pye Seyè a. Li wete yo nan lafliksyon sa a.

Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.

Li louvri bouch li, li pale epi yo geri. Li wete yo nan bouch twou a.

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Se pou yo di Seyè a mèsi pou jan li pa janm sispann renmen yo, pou bèl bagay Bondye fè pou moun.

Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Se pou yo ofri bèt pou touye ba li pou di l' mèsi. Se pou yo rakonte tou sa li fè. Se pou yo chante tèlman yo kontan.

And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.

Gen ladan yo ki vwayaje nan batiman sou lanmè. Yo t'ap fè trafik lakòt pou yo viv.

They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;

Yo te wè sa Seyè a te fè. Yo te wè bèl bagay li te fè sou lanmè.

These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.

Li louvri bouch li, li pale, yon gwo van leve. Sa fè lanm lanmè yo move.

For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.

Batiman yo moute anlè, yo desann nan fon lanm lanmè yo. Devan tout danje sa yo, lèzòm pèdi kouraj yo.

They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.

Tèt yo vire, y'ap kilbite tankou moun ki sou. Yo pèdi tout ladrès yo.

They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end.

Anba tout tray sa yo, yo rele nan pye Seyè a. Li wete yo nan lafliksyon sa a.

Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.

Li kase gwo van an. Lanm lanmè yo sispann fè bri. Kalmi fèt.

He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

Yo te kontan lè yo wè lanmè a vin bèl. Seyè a fè yo antre san danje nan pò kote yo t'aprale a.

Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

Se pou yo di Seyè a mèsi pou jan li pa janm sispann renmen yo, pou bèl bagay Bondye fè pou moun.

Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Se pou yo fè konnen jan li gen pouvwa lè pèp li reyini. Se pou yo fè lwanj li devan konsèy chèf fanmi yo.

Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

Seyè a fè larivyè yo cheche nèt. Li fè sous yo pa bay dlo ankò.

He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;

Li te fè tè ki konn bay bèl rekòt yo tounen salin, paske moun ki t'ap viv la a t'ap fè twòp mechanste.

A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

Li fè dezè yo tounen ma dlo. Li fè sous dlo pete kote ki te gen tè sèk.

He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.

Se la li fè moun ki te grangou yo moute kay yo. Yo bati yon lavil pou yo rete.

And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;

Yo fè anpil jaden, yo plante pye rezen ki bay bèl rekòt.

And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.

Li beni yo, li ba yo anpil pitit, li pa kite bèt yo depeple.

He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.

Apre sa, yo vin yon ti ponyen moun, yo pèdi pye, paske moun t'ap peze yo, yo t'ap soufri, yo te nan mizè.

Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.

Men, Bondye ki moutre jan li ka meprize grannèg yo, li menm ki fè yo moute desann nan dezè a, san yo pa konn kote yo prale a,

He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.

se li ki wete pòv malere yo nan mizè. Se li ki fè yo fè pitit tankou chini.

Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.

Moun ki mache dwat yo wè sa, yo kontan. Men, mechan yo rete ak bouch yo fèmen.

The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.

Se pou moun ki gen konprann chache konprann bagay sa yo! Se pou yo rekonèt jan Seyè a gen bon kè!

Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
