I Kings 4

Salomon te wa sou tout pèp Izrayèl la nèt.

So king Solomon was king over all Israel.

Men non chèf ki te nan gouvènman li an: Azarya, pitit Zadòk, te prèt la.

And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,

Elikorèf ak Akija, pitit gason Chicha yo, te sekretè palè a. Jozafa, pitit Ayiloud, te reskonsab achiv wa a.

Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.

Benaja, pitit gason Jeojada, te kòmandan tout lame a. Zadòk ak Abyata te prèt.

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:

Azarya, pitit gason Natan, te chèf tout gouvènè yo. Zaboud, pitit gason Natan, prèt la, te konseye pèsonèl wa a.

And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king's friend:

Ayicha te chèf kanbiz palè a. Adoniram, pitit gason Abda, te reskonsab travay kòve yo.

And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.

Salomon te chwazi douz gouvènè pou tout peyi a. Travay yo se te ranmase manje nan zòn sou reskonsablite yo pou wa a ak tout moun lakay li yo, yo chak pandan yon mwa nan lanne a.

And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.

Men non douz gouvènè yo ak zòn sou reskonsablite yo chak: Bennour, pou zòn mòn Efrayim yo,

And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:

Benndeke, pou zòn lavil Makaz, lavil Chalbim, lavil Bèt-Chemèch, lavil Elon ak lavil Bèt anan.

The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth–shemesh, and Elon–beth–hanan:

Bennesèd, pou zòn lavil Awoubòt, lavil Soko ak tout peyi Efè a.

The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:

Bennabinadab, ki te marye ak Tafat, pitit fi Salomon an, pou tout zòn Dò a.

The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

Bana, pitit gason Akiloud, pou zòn lavil Tanak, lavil Megido, pou tout zòn bò lavil Bèt-Chean toupre lavil Zaretan, sou bò sid lavil Jizreyèl la rive lavil Abèl Meola ak lavil Jokmeyam.

Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth–shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth–shean to Abel–meholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:

Benngebè, pou lavil Ramòt nan peyi Galarad, ak tout ti bouk nan peyi Galarad la ki pou branch fanmi Jayi, pitit Manase, ak tout zòn Agòb nan peyi Bazan. Antou swasant gwo lavil fèmen dèyè gwo miray ranpa ak gwo pòtay bare ak poto kwiv.

The son of Geber, in Ramoth–gilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:

Akinadad, pitit gason Ido, pou zòn Manayim.

Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:

Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:

Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:

Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:

Gebè, pitit gason Ouri, pou zòn Galarad, ansyen peyi Siyon, wa moun Amon yo ak Og, wa peyi Bazan an. Te gen yon gouvènè jeneral tou pou tout peyi a.

Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.

Pèp Izrayèl la ak pèp Jida a te anpil, yo te tankou grenn sab bò lanmè. Yo t'ap manje, yo t'ap bwè, kè yo te kontan.

Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.

Salomon te rive gouvènen tout nasyon nan zòn ki pran depi larivyè Lefrat rive nan peyi Filisti a ak fwontyè Lejip la. Yo tout te peye Salomon taks, yo tout te soumèt devan li pandan tout rèy li jouk li mouri.

And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

Men pwovizyon Salomon te bezwen chak jou: sansenkant (150) barik kè ble, twasan (300) barik farin frans,

And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,

Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.

Salomon te rive chèf sou tout peyi ki sou bò solèy kouche larivyè Lefrat la depi lavil Tifsak bò larivyè Lefrat la jouk lavil Gaza nan direksyon lwès. Tout ti wa ki t'ap gouvènen sou bò solèy kouche larivyè Lefrat la te soumèt devan li. Salomon menm pa t' ni nan goumen ni nan kont ak ankenn peyi nan vwazinaj li.

For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

Pandan tout rèy Salomon jouk li mouri, moun peyi Izrayèl yo ak moun peyi Jida yo t'ap viv ak kè poze, san danje ni malè, chak fanmi nan lakou yo ak ti jaden rezen yo anba pye fig frans yo.

And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer–sheba, all the days of Solomon.

Salomon te gen katmil (4.000) pak pou chwal cha lagè yo, ak douzmil (12.000) chwal pou sòlda.

And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

Douz gouvènè yo te gen pou ranmase pwovizyon wa Salomon te bezwen pou li menm ak pou moun k'ap manje nan palè a, yo chak pandan yon mwa nan lanne a. Yo pa janm kite anyen manke.

And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.

Gouvènè yo te gen pou bay lòj ak zèb tout kote yo bezwen pou chwal cha lagè yo ak lòt bèt chay.

Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.

Bondye te bay Salomon anpil lespri, anpil bon konprann ak yon konesans nou pa ka mezire.

And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

Salomon te gen plis bon konprann pase tout moun ki gen bon konprann nan peyi bò solèy leve yo, osinon pase tout moun ki gen bon konprann nan peyi Lejip.

And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

Li te gen plis bon konprann pase tout moun, pase Etan, moun lavil Ezrak, pase Eman, Kalkòl ak Dada, pitit gason Makòl yo. Nan tout peyi ki toupre peyi Izrayèl la yo t'ap nonmen non Salomon.

For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.

Li te ekri twamil (3.000) pwovèb ak mil senk (1.005) chante pou pi piti.

And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

Li fè bèl pawoli sou pyebwa ak tout kalite plant, depi pye sèd peyi Liban yo jouk lyann izòp ki pouse sou miray. Li pale tou sou bèt kat pat, sou zwazo, sou bèt ki trennen sou vant ak sou pwason.

And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

Moun te soti toupatou pou vin tande Salomon ap pale. Ata wa tout lòt peyi latè yo te pran nouvèl jan li te gen anpil bon konprann. Yo menm tou yo te voye moun vin tande l'.

And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
