Psalms 149

خداوند را سپاس باد! برای خداوند سرودی تازه بسرایید و در برابر جماعت ایمانداران نام او را بستایید.

Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.

ای بنی‌اسرائیل، به‌خاطر آفریدگار خود شاد باشید. ای ساکنان صهیون، به‌خاطر پادشاه خود شادمان باشید.

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

با رقص نام او را ستایش کنید و با نوای عود و بربط او را بپرستید.

Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

زیرا خداوند از قوم خود خشنود است و فروتنان را پیروز و سرفراز می‌سازد.

For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

مؤمنینش به جلال او فخر کنند و در بسترهای خود برای او سرود شادمانی بسرایند.

Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

خدا را با صدای بلند ستایش کنند و شمشیرهای دو دَم را در دست بگیرند، تا اقوام و مردم خدانشناس را مجازات کنند.

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;

خدا را با صدای بلند ستایش کنند و شمشیرهای دو دَم را در دست بگیرند، تا اقوام و مردم خدانشناس را مجازات کنند.

To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

پادشاهانشان را با زنجیر و فرمانروایان آنها را با پای بندهای آهنین ببندند

To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

و طبق فرمان خداوند آنها را مجازات کنند. این افتخاری است برای همهٔ مؤمنین او. خداوند را سپاس باد!

To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.
