Ezekiel 6

خداوند به من فرمود:

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

«ای انسان فانی، به سوی کوههای اسرائیل بنگر و علیه آنها نبوّت کن

Son of man, set thy face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them,

و بگو: ای کوههای اسرائیل، کلام خداوند متعال را بشنوید. خداوند متعال به کوهها، تپّه‌ها، درّه‌‌ها و دشتها چنین می‌فرماید: من خودم شمشیری می‌فرستم تا پرستشگاههای بالای تپّه‌های شما را نابود کند.

And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.

قربانگاههای شما ویران و مکانی که در آن بخور می‌سوزانید، شکسته خواهد شد. همهٔ مردمِ آنجا در برابر بُتهایشان کشته خواهند شد.

And your altars shall be desolate, and your images shall be broken: and I will cast down your slain men before your idols.

من اجساد مردم اسرائیل را پراکنده می‌سازم. من استخوانهای ایشان را در اطراف قربانگاه پراکنده می‌کنم.

And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.

همهٔ شهرهای اسرائیل نابود و بتکده‌هایش ویران می‌گردند، پس قربانگاههایش ویران و نابود می‌گردند، بُتهایش درهم می‌شکنند، قربانگاه بُخور آن فرو می‌ریزد و کارهایش ناپدید می‌گردد.

In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.

مردم در همه‌جا کشته می‌شوند و کسانی‌که زنده بمانند، خواهند پذیرفت که من خداوند هستم.

And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

«من اجازه خواهم داد که عدّه‌ای از کشتار بگریزند و در میان ملّتها پراکنده گردند.

Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.

آنهایی که در اسارت به سر می‌برند، آنجا را به یاد خواهند آورد و خواهند دانست که من ایشان را مجازات نموده و شرمسار ساخته‌ام، زیرا دلهای بی‌وفای ایشان، مرا ترک کرد و بُتها را ترجیح دادند. ایشان به‌خاطر کارهای زشت و پلیدی که انجام داده‌اند، از خود بیزار خواهند شد.

And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

ایشان خواهند دانست که من خداوند هستم و تهدیدهای من پوچ نبوده‌اند.»

And they shall know that I am the LORD, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.

پس خداوند متعال چنین می‌فرماید: «دست بزنید و پای بر زمین بکوبید و به‌خاطر کارهای زشت و پلیدی که قوم اسرائیل انجام داده است، از اندوه گریه کنید. ایشان در جنگ یا گرسنگی و یا از بیماری خواهند مرد.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Smite with thine hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.

کسانی‌که دور هستند بیمار می‌شوند و خواهند مرد، کسانی‌که نزدیک هستند در جنگ کشته می‌شوند، کسانی‌که باقی بمانند از گرسنگی خواهند مرد، همهٔ ایشان نیروی خشم مرا حس خواهند کرد.

He that is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that remaineth and is besieged shall die by the famine: thus will I accomplish my fury upon them.

در میان بُتها و قربانگاهها، در بتکده‌ها و بر فراز هر کوه، در زیر هر درخت سبز و هر درخت بلوط بزرگ، در هر کجا که قربانی سوختنی به بُتهایشان تقدیم کردند، اجسادشان پراکنده خواهند شد. آنگاه همه خواهند دانست که من خداوند هستم.

Then shall ye know that I am the LORD, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols.

دست خود را برای نابودی آنها دراز می‌کنم و شهرهایشان را از بیابان در جنوب تا شهر ربله در شمال ویران می‌سازم تا بدانند که من خداوند هستم.»

So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
