Romans 11

Mi do diras: Ĉu Dio forpuŝis Sian popolon? Nepre ne! Ĉar ankaŭ mi estas Izraelido, el la idoj de Abraham, el la tribo de Benjamen.

I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

Dio ne forpuŝis Sian popolon, kiun Li antaŭkonis. Aŭ ĉu vi ne scias, kion la Skribo diras pri Elija? kiel li pledis ĉe Dio kontraŭ Izrael:

God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,

Ho Eternulo, oni mortigis Viajn profetojn, detruis Viajn altarojn; kaj mi sola restis, kaj oni serĉas mian animon.

Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.

Sed kion diras al li la orakolo de Dio? Mi restigis por Mi sep mil virojn, kies genuoj ne fleksiĝis antaŭ Baal.

But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

Tiel same do estas ankaŭ nuntempe restaĵo laŭ la elektado de graco.

Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

Sed se per graco, ne plu el faroj; alie graco jam ne estus graco.

And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

Kion do? Kion Izrael serĉadas, tion li ne atingis, sed la elektitaro atingis ĝin, kaj la restaĵo estis obstinigita;

What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded

kiel estas skribite: Dio donis al ili spiriton de profunda dormo, okulojn, por ke ili ne vidu, kaj orelojn, por ke ili ne aŭdu, ĝis la nuna tago.

(According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.

Kaj David diris: Ilia tablo fariĝu por ili reto kaj kaptilo Kaj falpuŝilo kaj repago;

And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:

Mallumiĝu iliaj okuloj, ke ili ne vidu; Kaj iliajn lumbojn malfortigu por ĉiam.

Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.

Mi do diras: Ĉu ili falpuŝiĝis, por ke ili falu? Nepre ne! sed per ilia eraro venis savo al la nacianoj, por ĵaluzigi ilin.

I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

Se do ilia eraro riĉigis la mondon, kaj ilia perdo estas la gajno de la nacianoj, kiom pli ilia pleneco?

Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?

Sed mi parolas al vi, nacianoj. Laŭ tio, kiom mi estas apostolo al nacianoj, mi gloras mian servadon;

For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:

se nur mi iel povos ĵaluzigi tiujn, kiuj estas mia karno, kaj savi kelkajn el ili.

If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.

Ĉar se la forĵetado de ili estas la repacigo de la mondo, kio estos la akcepto de ili, se ne vivo el la mortintoj?

For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?

Kaj se la unuaaĵo estas sankta, la maso ankaŭ estas sankta; kaj se la radiko estas sankta, la branĉoj ankaŭ estas sanktaj.

For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.

Sed se kelkaj el la branĉoj derompiĝis, kaj vi, estante sovaĝa olivarbo, engreftiĝis inter ili kaj fariĝis partoprenanto en la radiko kaj graso de la olivarbo,

And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

ne fieru super la branĉoj; sed se vi fieras, ne vi portas la radikon, sed la radiko portas vin.

Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.

Vi do diros: Branĉoj estis derompitaj, por ke mi estu engreftita.

Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.

Bone; pro nekredemeco ili estis derompitaj, kaj vi staras per via fido. Ne tenu vin alte, sed timu;

Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

ĉar se Dio ne indulgis la naturajn branĉojn, Li ankaŭ vin ne indulgos.

For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.

Vidu do la bonecon kaj severecon de Dio: al la falintoj severecon, sed al vi bonecon, se vi restados en Lia boneco; alie vi ankaŭ detranĉiĝos.

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Kaj ili ankaŭ, se ili ne restados en sia nekredemeco, engreftiĝos; ĉar Dio povas reengrefti ilin.

And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.

Ĉar se vi eltranĉiĝis el tio, kio estas nature sovaĝa olivarbo, kaj kontraŭnature engreftiĝis en bonan olivarbon, kiom pli ĉi tiuj, kiuj estas la naturaj branĉoj, engreftiĝos en sian propran olivarbon?

For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?

Ĉar mi ne volas, fratoj, ke vi ne sciu ĉi tiun misteron, por ke vi ne opiniu vin saĝaj, ke laŭparta obstiniĝo okazis al Izrael, ĝis la pleneco de la nacianoj envenos;

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

kaj tiamaniere la tuta Izrael saviĝos, kiel estas skribite: El Cion venos la Liberiganto; Li deturnos de Jakob malpiecon;

And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

Kaj ĉi tio estos Mia interligo kun ili, Kiam Mi forigos iliajn pekojn.

For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Rilate al la evangelio, ili estas malamikoj pro vi; sed rilate al la elekto, ili estas amataj pro la patroj.

As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.

Ĉar la donacoj kaj la vokado de Dio estas nerevokeblaj.

For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Ĉar kiel vi iam estis malobeemaj al Dio, sed jam ricevis kompaton per ilia malobeo,

For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

tiel same ankaŭ ĉi tiuj jam malobeis, por ke, per la kompato montrita al vi, ili ankaŭ nun ricevu kompaton.

Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

Ĉar Dio kunŝlosis ĉiujn en malobeo, por ke Li kompatu ĉiujn.

For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

Ho, profundo de riĉeco kaj saĝeco kaj scio de Dio! kiel neesploreblaj estas Liaj juĝoj, kaj nesekveblaj Liaj vojoj!

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

Ĉar kiu sciis la spiriton de la Eternulo? aŭ kiu estis Lia konsilanto?

For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?

aŭ kiu antaŭe al Li donis ion, poste redonotan al li?

Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

Ĉar el Li kaj per Li kaj al Li estas ĉio. Al Li estu la gloro por ĉiam. Amen.

For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
