Psalms 5

За първия певец. На флейти. Псалм на Давид. Послушай думите ми, ГОСПОДИ, обърни внимание на стона ми!

Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.

Вслушай се в гласа на викането ми, Царю мой и Боже мой, защото на Теб се моля.

Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.

ГОСПОДИ, в зори ще чуеш гласа ми, в зори ще заставам пред Теб и ще чакам.

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Защото Ти не си Бог, който се радва на безбожието, никой зъл не живее със Теб.

For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.

Горделивите няма да устоят пред очите Ти, Ти мразиш всички, които вършат грях.

The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

Ще погубиш онези, които говорят лъжа. ГОСПОД се гнуси от човек кръвожаден и измамен.

Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

Аз обаче с Твоята изобилна милост ще вляза в дома Ти, със страхопочитание към Теб ще се поклоня към светия Ти храм.

But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

ГОСПОДИ, води ме в правдата Си заради враговете ми, изравни пред мене Своя път.

Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.

Защото нищо сигурно няма в устата им, сърцето им е лукавство, гроб отворен е гърлото им, с езика си ласкаят.

For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.

Осъди ги, Боже! Нека паднат заради кроежите си! Изхвърли ги заради множеството на престъпленията им, защото са се разбунтували против Теб.

Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.

Но нека се радват всички, които се уповават на Теб, нека пеят от радост до века, защото Ти ги закриляш, и нека ликуват в Теб онези, които обичат Твоето Име.

But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

Защото праведния ще благословиш Ти, ГОСПОДИ, ще го обградиш с благоволение като със щит.

For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
