Psalms 48

(По слав. 47) Песен. Псалм на Кореевите синове. Велик е ГОСПОД и всеславен в града на нашия Бог, светия Му хълм.

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.

Красиво се издига; радост на цялата земя е хълмът Сион на северните страни, градът на великия Цар.

Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

В дворците му Бог е познат като висока кула.

God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

Защото, ето, царете се събраха; заедно преминаха.

For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.

Те видяха и се смаяха, смутиха се, побягнаха.

They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away.

Трепет ги обзе там, болки като на родилка.

Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

С източния вятър разбиваш тарсийските кораби.

Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

Както бяхме чули, така и видяхме в града на ГОСПОДА на Войнствата, в града на нашия Бог. Бог ще го утвърди до века. (Села.)

As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Selah.

Размишлявахме, Боже, за Твоята милост сред храма Ти.

We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

Каквото е Името Ти, Боже, такава е и славата Ти до краищата на земята; десницата Ти е пълна с правда.

According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

Нека се весели хълмът Сион, нека се радват дъщерите на Юда заради Твоите присъди!

Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

Обиколете Сион и го обходете, пребройте кулите му,

Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.

обърнете внимание на укрепленията му, разгледайте дворците му, за да разказвате на следващото поколение.

Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.

Защото този Бог е нашият Бог за вечни векове; Той ще ни ръководи дори до смърт.

For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.
