Numbers 13

И ГОСПОД говори на Мойсей и каза:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Изпрати мъже, за да разузнаят ханаанската земя, която Аз давам на израилевите синове! Да изпратите по един мъж от всяко племе на бащите им и всеки да е първенец между тях.

Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.

И така, Мойсей ги изпрати от пустинята Фаран според ГОСПОДНАТА заповед. Всичките мъже бяха началници между израилевите синове.

And Moses by the commandment of the LORD sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel.

Ето имената им: от рувимовото племе: Самуй, синът на Закхур;

And these were their names: of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur.

от симеоновото племе: Сафат, синът на Хорий;

Of the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the son of Hori.

от юдовото племе: Халев, синът на Ефоний;

Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

от исахаровото племе: Игал, синът на Йосиф;

Of the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph.

от ефремовото племе: Осия, синът на Навий;

Of the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea the son of Nun.

от вениаминовото племе: Фалтий, синът на Рефу;

Of the tribe of Benjamin, Palti the son of Raphu.

от завулоновото племе: Гадиил, синът на Содий;

Of the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi.

от йосифовото племе: от Манасиевото племе: Гадий, синът на Сусий;

Of the tribe of Joseph, namely, of the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the son of Susi.

от дановото племе: Амиил, синът на Гамалий;

Of the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the son of Gemalli.

от асировото племе: Сетур, синът на Михаил;

Of the tribe of Asher, Sethur the son of Michael.

от нефталимовото племе: Наавий, синът на Волсий;

Of the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the son of Vophsi.

от гадовото племе: Геуил, синът на Махний.

Of the tribe of Gad, Geuel the son of Machi.

Това са имената на мъжете, които Мойсей изпрати, за да разузнаят земята. И Мойсей нарече Осия, сина на Навий, Иисус.

These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Oshea the son of Nun Jehoshua.

Като ги изпрати да разузнаят ханаанската земя, Мойсей им каза: Изкачете се на южната страна и се качете на хълмовете,

And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain:

и огледайте земята каква е и народът, който живее в нея, силен ли е, или слаб, малоброен ли е, или многоброен;

And see the land, what it is; and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many;

и каква е земята, в която живее, добра ли е, или лоша; и какви са градовете, в които те живеят, от шатри ли са, или са укрепени;

And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds;

и каква е земята, плодородна ли е, или слаба, има ли по нея дървета, или не. И бъдете смели и донесете от плодовете на земята. А тогава беше времето на първозрялото грозде.

And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes.

И така, те се качиха и разузнаха земята от пустинята Цин до Реов при прохода на Емат.

So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath.

После се изкачиха на южната страна и дойдоха до Хеврон, където живееха Ахиман, Сесай и Талмай, синовете на Енак. А Хеврон беше построен седем години преди египетския Цоан.

And they ascended by the south, and came unto Hebron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)

И когато дойдоха до долината Есхол, отрязаха от там една лозова пръчка с един грозд, който двама носеха на прът; взеха и нарове и смокини.

And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs.

Онова място се нарече долина Есхол поради грозда, който израилевите синове отрязаха от там.

The place was called the brook Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from thence.

И след четиридесет дни те се върнаха от разузнаването на земята.

And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.

И дойдоха при Мойсей, при Аарон и при цялото общество израилеви синове в пустинята Фаран, в Кадис, и дадоха отчет пред тях и пред цялото общество, и им показаха плода на земята.

And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.

И им разказаха, като говориха: Ходихме в земята, в която ни изпрати. Наистина там текат мляко и мед — ето и плода й.

And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.

Но народът, който живее в земята, е силен и градовете — укрепени и много големи; там видяхме и синовете на Енак.

Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.

Амаличаните живеят в южната земя, хетейците, евусейците и аморейците живеят по хълмовете, а ханаанците живеят при морето и край бреговете на Йордан.

The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.

А Халев успокояваше народа пред Мойсей, като казваше: Да вървим напред и да я завладеем, защото със сигурност ще я превземем!

And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

А мъжете, които бяха отишли заедно с него, казаха: Не можем да излезем против онзи народ, защото е по-силен от нас.

But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.

И пуснаха лош слух сред израилевите синове за земята, която бяха разузнали, и казваха: Земята, която обходихме, за да я разузнаем, е земя, която изпояжда жителите си; и всичките хора, които видяхме в нея, са много високи мъже.

And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

Там видяхме великаните, синовете на Енак, от великанския род; и пред тях ни се виждаше, че сме като скакалци, а такива бяхме и в техните очи.

And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
