Nehemiah 9

И на двадесет и четвъртия ден от този месец израилевите синове се събраха в пост, облечени с вретища, и с пръст на себе си.

Now in the twenty and fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, and with sackclothes, and earth upon them.

И израилевият род се отдели от всичките чужденци. И застанаха и изповядаха греховете си и беззаконията на бащите си.

And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.

През една четвърт от деня те ставаха на мястото си и четяха от книгата на закона на ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, а през друга четвърт се изповядваха и се кланяха пред ГОСПОДА, своя Бог.

And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of the LORD their God one fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped the LORD their God.

А Иисус и Ваний, Кадмиил, Севания, Вуний, Серевия, Ваний и Хананий застанаха на възвишението на левитите и викаха със силен глас към ГОСПОДА, своя Бог.

Then stood up upon the stairs, of the Levites, Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani, and cried with a loud voice unto the LORD their God.

И левитите Иисус и Кадмиил, Ваний, Асавния, Серевия, Одия, Севания и Петая казаха: Станете и благославяйте ГОСПОДА, своя Бог от века и до века! Да се благославя, Боже, Твоето славно Име, което е възвишено над всяко благословение и хвала!

Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabniah, Sherebiah, Hodijah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said, Stand up and bless the LORD your God for ever and ever: and blessed be thy glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise.

Ти си ГОСПОДИ, само Ти! Ти си направил небесата, небесата на небесата и цялото им войнство, земята и всичко, което е на нея, моретата и всичко, което е в тях. И Ти оживотворяваш всичко това и на Теб се покланя небесното воинство.

Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.

Ти си ГОСПОД, Бог, който избра Аврам и го изведе от Ур Халдейски, и му даде името Авраам.

Thou art the LORD the God, who didst choose Abram, and broughtest him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gavest him the name of Abraham;

И ти намери сърцето му вярно пред Теб и направи с него завет да му дадеш земята на ханаанците, хетейците, аморейците и ферезейците, и евусейците, и гергесейците, да я дадеш на потомството му — и Ти изпълни думите Си, защото си праведен.

And foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and hast performed thy words; for thou art righteous:

И Ти видя теглото на бащите ни в Египет и чу вика им при Червено море.

And didst see the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red sea;

Ти извърши знамения и чудеса над фараона и над всичките му слуги, и над целия народ на земята му, понеже Ти знаеше, че постъпваха с гордост против тях. И Ти си създаде име, както е днес.

And shewedst signs and wonders upon Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land: for thou knewest that they dealt proudly against them. So didst thou get thee a name, as it is this day.

И Ти раздели морето пред тях и преминаха през морето по сухо, а преследвачите им хвърли в дълбините — като камък в силните води.

And thou didst divide the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; and their persecutors thou threwest into the deeps, as a stone into the mighty waters.

И денем Ти ги води в облачен стълб, а нощем — в огнен стълб, за да им осветяваш пътя, по който трябваше да минат.

Moreover thou leddest them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go.

И Ти слезе на планината Синай и говори с тях от небето, и им даде справедливи правила и истинни закони, добри наредби и заповеди.

Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:

И им оповести святата Си събота и им даде заповеди и наредби, и закон чрез слугата Си Мойсей.

And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant:

Ти им даде и хляб от небето за глада им и им извади вода от скалата за жаждата им. И Ти им каза да влязат, за да завладеят земята, за която се беше заклел, че ще им я дадеш.

And gavest them bread from heaven for their hunger, and broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promisedst them that they should go in to possess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them.

Но те, бащите ни, се възгордяха и закоравиха врата си, и не послушаха Твоите заповеди.

But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to thy commandments,

Отказаха да послушат и не си спомниха чудесата Ти, които беше извършил за тях. Закоравиха врата си и в своя бунт си определиха началник, за да се върнат в робството си. Но Ти си Бог на прошката, милостив и състрадателен, дълготърпелив и многомилостив и Ти не ги остави.

And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.

Даже когато си направиха изляно теле и казаха: Това е твоят Бог, който те изведе от Египет! — и извършиха големи богохулства,

Yea, when they had made them a molten calf, and said, This is thy God that brought thee up out of Egypt, and had wrought great provocations;

Ти пак в голямото Си милосърдие не ги остави в пустинята. Облачният стълб не престана да бъде над тях денем, за да ги води по пътя, нито огненият стълб — нощем, за да им свети по пътя, по който трябваше да минат.

Yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light, and the way wherein they should go.

И Ти даде добрия Си Дух, за да ги учи, и не отне манната Си от устата им, и им даде вода за жаждата им.

Thou gavest also thy good spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst.

И Ти ги храни четиридесет години в пустинята и нищо не им липсваше — дрехите им не се износиха и краката им не отекоха.

Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.

И Ти им даде царства и народи и им ги раздели на дялове, и така завладяха земята на Сион, както и земята на есевонския цар и земята на васанския цар Ог.

Moreover thou gavest them kingdoms and nations, and didst divide them into corners: so they possessed the land of Sihon, and the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og king of Bashan.

И Ти умножи синовете им като небесните звезди и ги заведе в земята, за която беше казал на бащите им, че ще влязат в нея, за да я завладеят.

Their children also multipliedst thou as the stars of heaven, and broughtest them into the land, concerning which thou hadst promised to their fathers, that they should go in to possess it.

И синовете им влязоха и завладяха земята, и Ти покори пред тях жителите на земята, ханаанците, и ги предаде в ръцете им — както царете им, така и народите на земята — да им направят според волята си.

So the children went in and possessed the land, and thou subduedst before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gavest them into their hands, with their kings, and the people of the land, that they might do with them as they would.

И те превзеха укрепени градове и плодородна земя и завладяха къщи, пълни с всякакви блага, изкопани кладенци, лозя и маслини, и плодни дървета в голямо количество. И ядоха и се наситиха, затлъстяха и се насладиха на Твоята голяма благост.

And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells digged, vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they did eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in thy great goodness.

Но станаха непокорни и се надигнаха против Теб, и захвърлиха Твоя закон зад гърба си и убиваха пророците Ти, които свидетелстваха против тях, за да ги обърнат към Теб; и извършиха големи богохулства.

Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy prophets which testified against them to turn them to thee, and they wrought great provocations.

Тогава Ти ги предаваше в ръката на притеснителите им и те ги притесняваха. И във времето на притеснението си те викаха към Теб и Ти чуваше от небето и според голямото Си милосърдие им даваше избавители, които ги избавяха от ръката на притеснителите им.

Therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.

Но щом се успокояваха, те пак вършеха зло пред Теб. И Ти ги оставяше в ръката на враговете им, да владеят над тях; и те пак се връщаха и викаха към Теб и Ти ги чуваше от небето и ги избавяше според милосърдието Си много пъти.

But after they had rest, they did evil again before thee: therefore leftest thou them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and many times didst thou deliver them according to thy mercies;

Ти свидетелстваше против тях, за да ги обърнеш към закона Си, но те се възгордяха и не слушаха Твоите заповеди, а съгрешаваха против правилата Ти, чрез които, ако ги изпълнява човек, ще живее; и упорито обръщаха гръб и закоравяваха врата си, и не слушаха.

And testifiedst against them, that thou mightest bring them again unto thy law: yet they dealt proudly, and hearkened not unto thy commandments, but sinned against thy judgments, (which if a man do, he shall live in them;) and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.

Но Ти ги търпя много години и свидетелства против тях чрез Духа Си, чрез пророците Си, но те не слушаха. Тогава Ти ги предаде в ръката на народите на земите.

Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hand of the people of the lands.

Но в голямото Си милосърдие Ти не ги унищожи напълно и не ги остави, защото си Бог милостив и състрадателен.

Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God.

И сега, Боже наш, велики, силни и страшни Боже, който пазиш завета и милостта, нека не се счита за нищожно пред Теб цялото страдание, което е постигнало нас, царете ни, началниците ни и свещениците ни, и пророците ни, и бащите ни, и целия Твой народ от времето на асирийските царе до днес.

Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day.

Но Ти си справедлив във всичко, което ни е сполетяло, защото Ти си действал вярно, а ние сме постъпвали безбожно.

Howbeit thou art just in all that is brought upon us; for thou hast done right, but we have done wickedly:

И царете ни, началниците ни, свещениците ни и бащите ни не са спазили закона Ти, и не са внимавали в Твоите заповеди и в Твоите свидетелства, с които си свидетелствал против тях.

Neither have our kings, our princes, our priests, nor our fathers, kept thy law, nor hearkened unto thy commandments and thy testimonies, wherewith thou didst testify against them.

Защото те и при царството си, и при голямата Ти благост, която им показа, и в широката и плодородна земя, която постави пред тях, не Ти служиха и не се обърнаха от злите си дела.

For they have not served thee in their kingdom, and in thy great goodness that thou gavest them, and in the large and fat land which thou gavest before them, neither turned they from their wicked works.

Ето, днес сме роби. И в земята, която Ти даде на бащите ни, за да ядат плодовете й и благата й, ето, роби сме в нея.

Behold, we are servants this day, and for the land that thou gavest unto our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good thereof, behold, we are servants in it:

Тя дава голямо изобилие на царете, които Ти си поставил над нас заради греховете ни. И те властват над телата ни и над добитъка ни според волята си; и ние сме в голямо притеснение.

And it yieldeth much increase unto the kings whom thou hast set over us because of our sins: also they have dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we are in great distress.

Поради всичко това ние правим завет и го написваме и на подпечатаното са имената на началниците ни, левитите ни и свещениците ни.

And because of all this we make a sure covenant, and write it; and our princes, Levites, and priests, seal unto it.
