Isaiah 20

В годината, в която тартанът дойде в Азот, когато го изпрати асирийският цар Саргон и той воюва против Азот и го превзе,

In the year that Tartan came unto Ashdod, (when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him,) and fought against Ashdod, and took it;

в това време ГОСПОД говори чрез Исая, сина на Амос, като каза: Иди, разпаши вретището от слабините си и събуй сандалите си от краката си. И той направи така и ходеше гол и бос.

At the same time spake the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.

И ГОСПОД каза: Както слугата Ми Исая ходи гол и бос три години за знамение и предвещание против Египет и против Етиопия,

And the LORD said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia;

така асирийският цар ще отведе египетските пленници и етиопските заточеници, млади и стари, голи и боси, и с голи задници за срам на Египет.

So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.

Тогава те ще се разтреперят и засрамят за Етиопия — упованието си, и за Египет — хвалбата си.

And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.

И жителите на тази крайбрежна страна ще кажат в онзи ден: Ето, такава е надеждата ни, към която прибягнахме за помощ, за да се избавим от асирийския цар! А ние как ще спасим?

And the inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, whither we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how shall we escape?
