II Timothy 1

Павел, с Божията воля апостол на Иисус Христос според обещанието на живота, който е в Христос Иисус,

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,

до Тимотей, възлюбеното ми дете: Благодат, милост, мир от Бог Отец и от Христос Иисус, нашия Господ.

To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

Благодаря на Бога, на когото още от прародителите си служа с чиста съвест, като непрестанно те споменавам в молитвите си нощ и ден,

I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

и като си спомням сълзите ти, копнея да те видя, за да се изпълня с радост.

Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;

Понеже си припомням за твоята нелицемерна вяра, която първо се намираше в баба ти Лоида и в майка ти Евникия, а както съм уверен – и в теб.

When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

По тази причина ти напомням да разпалваш дарбата от Бога, която имаш чрез полагането на моите ръце.

Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

Защото Бог ни е дал дух не на плахост, а на сила, любов и себевладеене.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

И така, не се срамувай от свидетелството на нашия Господ, нито от мен, затворника за Него, а участвай в страданията за благовестието според силата на Бога,

Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

който ни е спасил и призовал със свято призвание – не според нашите дела, а според Своето намерение и според благодатта, дадена ни в Христос Иисус преди вечните времена,

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

но която сега откри чрез явяването на нашия Спасител Христос Иисус, който унищожи смъртта и извади на светлина живота и нетлението чрез благовестието,

But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

на което аз бях поставен като проповедник, апостол и учител (на езичниците),

Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.

по която причина и страдам това. Но не се срамувам, защото зная в кого съм повярвал и съм уверен, че Той е силен да опази до онзи Ден онова, което съм Му поверил.

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Дръж образеца на здравите думи, които си чул от мен, във вяра и любов в Христос Иисус.

Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

Опази чрез Светия Дух, който живее в нас, онова добро нещо, което ти е поверено.

That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.

Ти знаеш, че всички, които са в Азия, от които са Фигел и Ермоген, се отвърнаха от мен.

This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.

Господ да покаже милост към дома на Онисифор, защото той много пъти ме ободряваше и не се засрами от оковите ми,

The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:

а когато беше в Рим, ме потърси старателно и ме намери.

But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.

Господ да му даде да намери милост от Господа в онзи Ден; а колко служи в Ефес, ти знаеш много добре.

The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.
