I Thessalonians 1

Павел и Сила, и Тимотей до солунската църква в Бог Отец и Господ Иисус Христос: Благодат и мир да бъде на вас!

Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Винаги благодарим на Бога за всички вас и ви споменаваме в молитвите си,

We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;

като си спомняме непрестанно пред нашия Бог и Отец за вашата работа във вярата и усилия на любов, и твърдост в надежда в нашия Господ Иисус Христос.

Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

Понеже знаем, възлюбени от Бога братя, че Той ви е избрал;

Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

защото нашето благовестие не дойде до вас само с думи, но също и със сила, със Светия Дух и с голяма увереност; както и знаете какви се показахме помежду ви заради вас.

For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

И вие станахте подражатели на нас и на Господа, като приехте словото сред много скръб с радостта на Светия Дух;

And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

така че станахте пример на всички вярващи в Македония и Ахая.

So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.

Защото от вас се прогласи Господното слово не само в Македония и Ахая, но за вашата вяра в Бога се разчу навсякъде, така че няма нужда ние да казваме нищо за нея.

For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.

Защото самите те разказват за нас – какъв достъп сме имали при вас и как сте се обърнали към Бога от идолите, за да служите на живия и истинен Бог

For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

и да очаквате Неговия Син от небесата, когото Той възкреси от мъртвите – Иисус, който ни избавя от идещия гняв.

And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
