I Corinthians 1

Павел, с Божията воля призован да бъде апостол на Иисус Христос, и брат Состен,

Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

до Божията църква, която е в Коринт, до осветените в Христос Иисус, призованите светии, заедно с всички, които призовават на всяко място Името на Иисус Христос, нашия Господ, който е и техен, и наш:

Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

Благодат и мир да бъде на вас от Бога, нашия Отец, и от Господ Иисус Христос.

Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Винаги благодаря на моя Бог заради вас за Божията благодат, която ви е дадена в Христос Иисус;

I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

че в Него се обогатихте във всичко — във всяко слово и всяко познание,

That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

както се утвърди у вас Христовото свидетелство,

Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

така че не ви липсва нито една дарба, като чакате явяването на нашия Господ Иисус Христос,

So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

който и до края ще ви утвърждава, за да бъдете безупречни в Деня на нашия Господ Иисус Христос.

Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Верен е Бог, чрез когото бяхте призовани в общение с Неговия Син Иисус Христос, нашия Господ.

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Сега аз ви умолявам, братя, чрез Името на нашия Господ Иисус Христос, всички да говорите в съгласие и да няма разцепления между вас, а да бъдете съединени в един и същ ум и в едно и също мнение.

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Защото някои от Хлоините домашни ми казаха за вас, братя мои, че между вас имало разпри.

For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

Искам да кажа, че всеки от вас казва: Аз съм Павлов; А аз — Аполосов; А аз — Кифов; А пък аз — Христов.

Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

Нима Христос се е разделил? Нима Павел беше разпънат за вас? Или се кръстихте в името на Павел?

Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

Благодаря на Бога, че не съм кръстил никого от вас освен Крисп и Гай,

I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;

за да не каже никой, че сте били кръстени в моето име.

Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.

Кръстих още и Стефаниновия дом. Освен тях не помня да съм кръстил някой друг.

And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

Защото Христос не ме е пратил да кръщавам, а да проповядвам благовестието — не с мъдростта на думите, за да не би кръстът на Христос да се лиши от значението си.

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

Защото словото на кръста е безумие за тези, които погиват; но за нас, които биваме спасени, то е Божия сила.

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Понеже е писано: "Ще унищожа мъдростта на мъдрите и разума на разумните ще отхвърля."

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

Къде е мъдрият? Къде Е книжникът? Къде е защитникът на този свят? Не обърна ли Бог в глупост светската мъдрост?

Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Защото, понеже в Божията мъдрост светът не позна Бога чрез мъдрост, Бог благоволи чрез глупостта на това, което се проповядва, да спаси вярващите.

For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Понеже юдеите искат знамение, а гърците търсят мъдрост;

For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

но ние проповядваме разпънатия Христос: за юдеите — препънка, а за езичниците — глупост,

But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

но за самите призвани — и юдеи, и гърци — Христос, Божия сила и Божия мъдрост.

But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Защото Божието глупаво е по-мъдро от хората и Божията немощ — по-силна от хората.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Понеже, братя, виждате какви сте вие призваните — че между вас няма мнозина мъдри по плът, нито мнозина могъщи, нито мнозина благородни.

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

Но Бог избра глупавите неща на света, за да посрами мъдрите; и Бог избра слабите неща на света, за да посрами силните;

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

още и долните и презрените неща на света избра Бог; и онези неща, които не са, за да унищожи тези, които са,

And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

за да не се похвали никое създание пред Бога.

That no flesh should glory in his presence.

А вие сте от Него в Христос Иисус, който стана за нас мъдрост от Бога и правда, и освещение, и изкупление;

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

така че, както е писано: "който се хвали, с Господа да се хвали."

That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
